Fans of the memorable Addams Family had high hopes for Netflix‘s Wednesday, which premiered in November 2022. Jenna Ortega played the bitterly hilarious Goth Wednesday Addams and joined the student body of boarding school Nevermore Academy. Some parts of Wednesday season 1 fell completely flat, including a love triangle storyline and the character actually attending a school dance (although Wednesday’s dance scene is one of the best parts of the season). Lurch is an important part of Wednesday season 1 because he makes the Netflix series feel familiar. If Lurch is played by another actor, then that won’t be necessary. If Lurch does come back for Wednesday season 2, hopefully he will play a bit more of a significant role so he and Wednesday can interact more. As fans saw from Jenna Ortega’s time on You as Ellie Alves. she has an impressive talent for playing vulnerable yet strong characters who are outsiders.

Grandmama will also appear in Wednesday season 2, played byJoanna Lumley. While Jenna Ortega said Wednesday season 2 will have “horror” parts, fans are also hopeful that there will be more scenes of the Addams Family members.
