Eminem has taken home two American Music Awards on a night in which numerous icons have performed, like Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Gloria Estefan and Rod Stewart.
The Detroit rapper beat some of the biggest hip-hop artists in the world, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Tyler, The Creator, to win the AMA for Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist.
Eminem accepted the award via a video message from Detroit.
“Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist. Thank you. I appreciate it,” Eminem said. “I think it has been 23 years since I won my first AMA. Thank you to the fans. Thank you to everybody that voted for me.”
After the show aired on CBS, the remaining awards not shown on TV were revealed and Eminem won for Favorite Hip-Hop Album for “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).” He beat out Lamar, Future & Metro Boomin, Gunna and Tyler, The Creator in this category.

Eminem won his first four AMAs in 2003 for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album, Favorite Hip-Hop/R&B Album and Favorite Hip-Hop/R&B Male Artist.
He won in 2005 for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Male Artist; in 2006 for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist; in 2010 for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album and for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist.
