Meanwhile, reports suggested that Paul would fight Perry on the original July date. Happy Punch even released a fight poster featuring Paul and Perry, indicating their bout was set for July 20. This company has gained fame for organizing high-profile matches, including Logan Paul versus Dillon Danis and Jake Paul versus Andre August.
Following these rumors, Paul tweeted, “I smell victory,” hinting at the fight with Perry.
The rescheduled fight with Tyson
However, he later clarified his plans, emphasizing his commitment to the rescheduled Tyson fight, which will be broadcast live from AT&T Stadium on Netflix.
“I am fighting Mike Tyson on Netflix, and I will get the W,” Paul noted.
Most Valuable Promotions, co-owned by Paul since 2021, supported his statement by retweeting and promoting the event through various posts and images.
Tyson also confirmed his involvement, posting a video on Instagram saying, “Different date, same fate. I’m going to knock out Jake Paul.”
The considerable age difference between Tyson and Paul has raised concerns. Tyson, who will be 58 by the fight date, contrasts with Paul’s 27 years. This disparity has led to worries among fans, medical professionals, and other boxers about the risks involved.
