Paul Forman can’t help but gush about the lady in his life.
At the L.A. premiere of Emily in Paris season 4, the actor, 30, tells PEOPLE that it “means the world” to experience all the excitement – and chaos! – of the show’s demanding schedule and press tour alongside his girlfriend Ashley Park.
Forman, 30, says he “felt” a sense of unwavering “support and friendship” from Park “from the very beginning.”
“The relationship part happened after filming, but I felt that [support] from the very beginning with her,” he says. “She’s so generous, so supportive. As a fellow castmate, I’m so lucky to be working with her – our relationship aside.”
Forman, who plays Park’s character Mindy’s love interest, Nicolas de Leon, on the show, adds, “I feel like the luckiest man in the world.”

Forman also teased what’s to come for his and Park’s characters in season 4, the first part of which is now streaming, with part 2 premiering September 12.
Noting that it will be “slightly choppy” for their characters’ relationship, Forman says, “I think the theme for Nick this year is overcoming obstacles, hurdles in the company’s way, trying to balance everything… So I think that will be reflected in the relationship.”
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Park, 33, opened up about the beginning of her and Forman’s relationship as she revealed that their friend and costar Lily Collins was the one who first spotted their chemistry.
“Lily noticed the chemistry. She was like, ‘Ashley, what is going on?’ And I replied, ‘Nothing. I told you I wasn’t dating actors,'” Park recalled.
At first, Park and Forman were “just friends” and “very platonically, we would hang out,” but things eventually became romantic. “One of the reasons I wanted to be friends with him, and eventually fell in love with him, is that he’s so generous and kind as a coworker and a friend. I’ve never been with a straight white male who has been more generous or better to work with on a set. Ever, ever, ever.”
The first half of Emily in Paris season 4 is now streaming on Netflix, and part 2 premieres on Sept. 12.
