Josie Gibson has sparked concern after appearing on This Morning sporting a pair of crutches. The ITV star teamed up with Alison Hammond to front Friday’s (28 February) instalment of the hit daytime show.
Initially, Alison appeared on This Morning alone, with Josie joining minutes later. She revealed she’d suffered an injury while holidaying in Dubai with her young son Reggie over half term, leaving her needing to use crutches.
Josie recalled having to seek medical attention abroad, initially being told she’d fractured her leg. Upon returning to the UK, she was informed she’d actually suffered soft tissue damage and is now using a walker boot to help her as her foot heals.
Josie explained: “You could not even make it up. I’ve had a holiday disaster. I’ve always wanted to take my little one to Dubai. We went to Dubai for half term. Second day of the holiday, I was brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot.”
She went on to explain how the unit cracked into pieces after hitting her foot before revealing how the ordeal “ruined” her holiday.
“I spent the whole holiday in bed with my leg in the air. Totally ruined my holiday,” Josie added. “And in a wheelchair. I was with my six year old, can you imagine? I couldn’t even build a sandcastle with him!”
This Morning viewers reacted to Josie’s injury on social media, with one writing: “Poor Josie,” while a second said: “Aw hope Josie is ok.” Somebody else penned: “Poor Josie, hope she sues.”

Josie’s getaway comes after it was announced that she will front a new Channel 5 show, Around the World in First Class, which sees her visit Dubai.
The new programme sees her take a journey through the Middle East, where she stays in some of the destination’s most luxurious resorts, including overwater villas. The show is due to air on 28 February.
