“She’s also pretty good at backtalk and never taking out the trash,” he joked

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds has revealed the hilarious reason he had an unforgettable time on the Deadpool & Wolverine set with his daughter Inez.

The father of four, 47, joked in an Instagram post on Thursday, Aug. 1, that having his 7-year-old make a cameo in the film as a character named Kidpool resulted in her becoming “the only costar I argued with.”

“Most people think Kidpool is the dirtiest. But she’s also pretty good at backtalk and never taking out the trash. #DeadpoolAndWolverine,” his caption added. The post included a photo of the father-daughter duo wearing matching Deadpool costumes.

Reynolds shares Inez with his wife, Blake Lively. The two are also parents to daughters James, 9, Betty, 4, and son Olin, who was born on Feb. 12, 2023.

Deadpool & Wolverine was truly a family affair for Reynolds, as each of his family members had a role in the film.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JULY 22: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attend the "Deadpool & Wolverine" New York Premiere on July 22, 2024 in New York City.

According to IMDb, Olin appeared on screen as the character Babypool, while James played a Screaming Mutant. The movie’s credits show that Betty had a role behind the scenes referred to as “Hugh Jackman Wrangler.”

Although details about her duties were not revealed, Reynolds told PEOPLE at the film’s world premiere that his daughter is one of Jackman’s biggest fans.

“I don’t profess that my kids are perfectly behaved. My 4-year-old Betty sort of loves Hugh, like unconditionally,” he said. “And she expresses that love through unblinking violence. So she attacks him, thinking she has claws and he has a healing factor — which he might.”

Blake Lively Deadpool

Lively, 36, played Lady Deadpool — a role that Deadpool comic book creator Rob Liefeld first conceived in 2010 after watching her on Gossip Girl.

In July, Reynolds told E! News that he and Lively are open to expanding their family.

“The more the merrier,” he said. “As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!”
