Jelly Roll’s daughter Bailee Ann is addressing her father filing for divorce from her stepmother, Bunnie Xo.

Bailee Ann, 18, posted a TikTok video on Tuesday, June 16 following the news of her dad and stepmom’s divorce. “Oh & one more thing I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter,” Bailee Ann wrote over a selfie. “It’s fkn crazy.”

“Go on somewhere yall,” she continued. “Worry bout your house- not mine. I’m not speaking on it – yet.”

Bailee Ann turned off the comments on the post.

The country star, 41, filed for divorce in Williamson County, Tenn. on May 18, according to documents obtained and court records viewed by PEOPLE. Their date of separation was listed in the documents as May 9, and the grounds for divorce are listed as irreconcilable differences. TMZ was first to report the news.

The filing marked a surprising turn for a couple that has frequently shared their relationship publicly and were celebrating one another publicly in recent months.

Reps for both did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

A Jelly Roll source told PEOPLE on Tuesday that the two have “always had a complicated dynamic” that stretches back to the early days of their relationship. When they first met, Jelly was struggling financially and Bunnie made her living as a sex worker. They had a platonic friendship before they took their relationship to the next level in 2016.

“When they first got together, they were both in a very different place in their lives,” the source said. “There was a lot of chaos, ups and downs, and they built a life together through all of that.”

The source went on to note that Jelly, who recently lost nearly 300 lbs. and celebrated winning three Grammys, has “changed a lot.”

“He’s very focused on his future, his health and being around for a long time,” the source said, adding that “there wasn’t a moment where everything fell apart.”

“They still love each other but were no longer on the same page about certain things, including what they wanted their future to look like,” the source continued. “People saw the public side of things, but there was a lot more going on privately.”

The couple’s relationship began more than 10 years ago after they met at one of Jelly Roll’s concerts at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015.

After dating for about a year, Jelly proposed to Bunnie, 46, while on stage in Las Vegas in 2016. Later that same evening, the pair secretly tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony without telling friends or family.

Jelly is dad to daughter Bailee and son Noah, 9, from previous relationships, and both stars have said that Bunnie valued being their stepmother.

While the couple do not share biological children, they have spoken at length in recent months about their desire to have a child and their struggles with IVF, and Bunnie wrote in her memoir that they’d found a surrogate and hoped to welcome twins.

“I think we’re just ready for a piece of us,” she told PEOPLE in January. “It has not been easy, but I know that God has a plan and he’s going to make it work. I really do. I have no doubt in my mind.”
