Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is pleading with MMA fighters to stop stepping into the boxing ring with Jake Paul after he left another MMA fighter in his wake this past Saturday.
‘The Problem Child’ has been accused of handpicking smaller opponents for a while now, as he continues to pluck MMA fighters out of their natural habitat to fight him in the boxing ring.
Mike Perry is the latest MMA fighter to have felt the ability of the Internet sensation turned boxer, as this past Saturday, Jake Paul finished ‘Platinum’ in the sixth round, continuing his unbeaten record against MMA competition.

Aljamain Sterling pleads with MMA fighters to stop fighting Jake Paul in boxing
The 27-year-old has only fought three traditional boxers so far during his 11-fight tenure, with Tommy Fury being the only one with at least some notable talent and having beaten Paul.
Through those 11 professional fights, six of the fights have been against retired MMA fighters, including Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley.
Former UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, is pleading with MMA fighters to stop fighting Paul in the boxing ring as he calls for him to start fighting boxers.
“You’re getting better with each fight, now can we see you fight, like, boxers your size, your same reach, everything so there’s no more lopsided stacked fight spectacle kind of thing because to me that’s what it really is,” Sterling began to explain in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Do we blame Jake Paul, or do we blame the fighters that keep taking these fights? I’m just like, these guys need to realize he is actually athletic, he’s actually skilled and he’s only getting better because he’s young, and he’s a lot bigger than you!
“Stop taking these crazy fights, it’s like me trying to go out there, I’m not fighting him in boxing if anything I would ever entertain, it’d have to be MMA,” Sterling added.
The main reason why Paul is able to tempt fighters into taking fights against him is because it likely comes as a big payday for the fighters who are generally nearing the end of their careers, or already retired.
“Guys, MMA fighters all across the world, please stop entertaining Jake Paul by obliging to sign the contract, you don’t need to do that unless you are his size, if you are not his size, please stay away,” the UFC fighter continued.
Jake Paul weighed 212lbs on fight night against Perry
‘The Problem Child’ continues to prove his reputation right as he picks MMA fighters who are smaller than him as opponents.
Perry weighed in at 196.6lbs, the heaviest he has ever weighed in for a fight. Paul revealed what he weighed on fight night, admitting he was 212lbs.
Following his win, he did strangely call out UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, but of course that fight will not come to fruition.
Instead, he will likely fight boxing legend, Mike Tyson next as he was originally scheduled to take on ‘Iron’ before the 58-year-old withdrew from their bout due to a health concern.
Their fight was rescheduled to take place on November 15, and it is believed to still be going ahead.
