Boxing legend Tyson was forced to pull out of his fight against Paul because of a health issue and the influencer’s brother Logan offered to step in
The postponement of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s fight has been questioned by UFC legend Brendan Schaub.
Heavyweight legend Tyson was scheduled to face influencer-turned-boxer Paul on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas, but the fight has been postponed until a later date. Tyson needs to recover from an ulcer flare up before he starts training again for the controversial fight, which is being professionally sanctioned.
Paul’s brother Logan jokingly offered to fight his brother after Tyson’s withdrawal by saying: “So Mike Tyson’s out? I’ll step in and we can settle this once and for all.” Schaub thinks the Paul brothers have been planning to fight each other all along and questioned the legitimacy of Tyson’s pull out.

“Years ago when I had Logan on, he said the ultimate plan – this ends with me and my brother fighting,” Schaub said on his podcast. “Here’s a question. Put my tinfoil hat on. Was this the plan all along? Here’s another question for you guys. What gets more – Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul or Jake Paul versus Logan Paul?
“I’m not saying on YouTube, on Netflix. Because if you take Mike Tyson out of that fight, my dad’s not watching it. My dad’s not watching Logan Paul. But a ton of youngsters who vape and are confused about their pronouns are gonna tune in. What do I think gets more views overall? Jake Paul versus Logan Paul, because you’re going to get their fanbases, which is bigger than Mike Tyson’s.”
Tyson has insisted that he is in good health despite suffering a health scare and plans to resume training in a few weeks. Paul showed his class after the fight was cancelled by refusing to badmouth Tyson. “This opportunity has been ripped from all of us, but I do value Mike’s health,” he said.
“Love that guy, so much respect for him and I want Mike to be healthy. He still says he’s going to knock me out and I bought myself some time so Mike is still talking s*** over there. Mike if you still want to do this, like you’ve said behind closed doors, I’m ready whenever you’re ready.”
