Girls aged three and four die in hospital after Ford Territory slams into tree in Viveash, Perth
Police have confirmed the worst after the children aged under four spent nine nights in hospital.

Two young girls have died in hospital more than a week after they were critically injured in a serious car crash.
The children, aged three and four, died in Perth Children’s Hospital on Sunday, WA Police said.
They had been in a silver Ford Territory travelling east on Muriel St near Cranwood Cr in Viveash, in the city’s east, when it left the road and struck a tree just before 2.30pm on April 17.
They suffered life threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to hospital, where they spent nine nights under the care of doctors.
“Sadly, late on Sunday evening … both children passed away from their injuries,” police said.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, and a female passenger also aged 24 were taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.
Major Crash investigators have again appealed for information into the incident, with witnesses asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
Fifty-eight people have been killed on WA roads in 2026.
