The Umbrella Academy star Tom Hopper promises fans a gratifying conclusion to the beloved series. The actor plays Luther Hargreeves/ Spaceboy in the Netflix show.

In an interview with ComicBook, Hopper discussed the last The UmbrellaAcademy season, revealing that audiences will get a complete storyline and a definitive conclusion to the series. “I think there’s going to definitely be some things that you already love. These siblings, I feel like one big reason that the show’s become a hit, is because people have fallen in love with the siblings, and their relationship with each other and how fun that is. And there’s bucket loads of that so that you won’t be disappointed at,” he said. “There is an ending, which I believe is a complete ending. I don’t think fans will be disappointed with how it ends.”

The Umbrella Academy‘s Spaceboy continued, “Whether they’ll be a little bit sad and broken, I don’t know, because it was certainly emotional for us as actors doing it. I was very sad to finish it because I’d fallen in love with that show and the character and the journey he’s been on, and I fell in love with my siblings on that show. I’m still super tight to all of them, so it will be something that lives on for all of us, and I just hope that the fans feel satisfied.”

Tom Hopper’s The Umbrella Academy Co-Star Echoed His Sentiments

In a previous interview, Justin H. Min, who plays Ben Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy, stated that the knowledge the series would end with Season 4 meant that the writers could wrap up its story appropriately. “We filmed the final season last year, the first half of last year. It was incredibly emotional, but we were just so thankful to have the opportunity to sort of close out the story,” he said. “So many shows, unfortunately, get prematurely canceled, but we knew going in this was gonna be our final season, so our writers and showrunner had the opportunity to wrap up all the storylines.”

Min continued, “In terms of what to expect, I’ll probably be killed if I say something. But I think I can tease. There are a lot of questions that have been brewing throughout the seasons of the show, and I do think they really do get answered in this final season. I think there’s a real sense of closure, so I’m excited for the fans who’ve been waiting for certain answers to get those.”

The Umbrella Academy‘s fourth and final season will premiere on Netflix on August 8, 2024.
