Welcoming the king back, 50 Cent and Eminem confirm they will be collaborating on the biggest music video of 2026, powerful enough to shatter an entire stadium: Release date details

50 Cent Wants Eminem to Drop Tracks for the New ‘Street Fighter’ Movie

50 Cent is looking to team up with Eminem once again, this time for a movie soundtrack. The rapper and actor revealed that he wants Eminem to make new music for the upcoming Street Fighter film, in which 50 Cent will play the boxer Balrog.

Over the weekend, he shared his plans on Instagram, writing, “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter. New music on the way!” While there is no official word that Eminem has agreed, their long history of collaboration makes the idea believable.

The news comes as 50 Cent has been busy with Netflix’s recent docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Despite the tension between him and Diddy, 50 Cent said he had no personal issues with the production. “There’s no place for me, I didn’t make the docuseries. I got the best possible people to make one. That’s why you don’t feel anybody’s energy when watching,” he told GQ.

The new Street Fighter movie is directed by Kitao Sakurai and written by Dalan Musson. It is a reboot of the live-action film series based on the popular Capcom video game franchise. This will be the third live-action adaptation of the games and the fourth live-action film overall.

The film has a large ensemble cast, including Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Orville Peck as Vega, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, and Kyle Mooney as Marvin.

Legendary Entertainment acquired the live-action rights to the Street Fighter franchise in April 2023. The film went through a few director changes, with Danny and Michael Philippou initially attached before dropping out in June 2024. Sakurai joined as director in February.

Casting began in May and filming started in August, wrapping up in November. Paramount Pictures will release the movie in the United States on October 16, 2026, with IMAX screenings available.

The story is set in 1993. Ryu and Ken, played by Koji and Centineo, are brought back into the fighting world when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. But the tournament hides a deadly plot, forcing the fighters to confront each other and their pasts. According to Paramount Pictures, “If they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
