These storylines make zero sense.
Season 3 of Bridgerton has come to a triumphant end. Is it any wonder that the show is back on everyone’s lips? It is hard to resist the pleasure of reveling in the intrigues of Regency-era high society.
But fans are not only making TikTok videos and listening to covers of their favorite pop singers, they are also looking for ridiculous, strange, and questionable storylines.
1. Anthony & Kate Trip to India
We all love Anthony and Kate. But in the first season, Anthony acted almost as the main villain — the stubborn and arrogant older brother actively interfered in Daphne’s personal life and generally gave the impression of a person with obsessive control neurosis.
All the more interesting was his choice as the protagonist of the second season, in which Anthony revealed himself from a different side, completely new to the audience. And just when we had time to love Anthony unconditionally, he offers Kate a rather risky adventure (albeit with the best intentions) — to go on a ship to India so that his wife can give birth to a child there.

It is difficult to imagine the agony of poor Kate, who will have to experience all the “pleasures” of traveling on a ship for many months while pregnant — from seasickness to the impossibility of getting qualified and urgent medical help.
Anthony’s noble impulses are understandable, but didn’t the writers of Season 3 wonder how a pregnant woman could survive several months at sea?
2. Lady Danbury & Lord Anderson Conflict

Lady Danbury is one of the smartest characters in the entire series, and few can argue with that. She is so astute that she can find the perfect match for any member of London’s high society in five minutes, and she can manipulate the Queen herself (without any malicious intent).
However, when it comes to her own brother, Lady Danbury seems to lose all of these qualities. According to the authors’ plan, she has hated Lord Anderson for decades because he told his parents about her escape when he was a ten-year-old child.
Are we to believe that Lady Danbury never mentioned this episode to her brother for many years? Or that Lord Anderson himself never once inquired as to why his sister felt such extreme hostility toward him? Given how Lady Danbury has been revealed to us over the past three seasons, this storyline simply makes no sense.
3. The Mondrichs at Francesca & John Wedding

The Mondrichs’ storyline was probably the most boring of the third season. But what’s most surprising is not the pointlessness of their story, but the fact that Will and Alice attended John and Francesca’s wedding for some reason.
Both John and Francesca have mentioned more than once that they didn’t want a big wedding, instead they filed a special petition to have a small celebration with only their closest friends.
Anthony didn’t attend the wedding. Portia, who also became a member of the Bridgerton family, wasn’t at the wedding. Even John’s parents or any of his relatives weren’t there (this is probably explained by the fact that they live far from London). But the Mondrichs were invited to the wedding, which also makes absolutely no sense.
