I just finished season 3 of Bridgertonin all its friends-to-lovers, springtime, romantic glory, and I’m already thinking about Bridgerton season 4. I’m a sucker for any storyline about siblings, and the Bridgertons are some of my favorites. We haven’t gotten official confirmation yet, but while we originally thought season 4 of Bridgerton would follow Benedict and his love interest Sophie, it looks like we could be getting Francesca’s story next. Yes, we’re getting a Bridgerton season 4! After the popularity of the first season, Netflix renewed the series for another two seasons in 2021. While I’ve been expecting the senior season of the Shondaland show to follow An Offer from a Gentleman, which revolves around second-eldest son Benedict (played by Luke Thompson), after the season 3 finale, it looks like it could follow When He Was Wicked with one major twist: instead of Lord Kilmartin’s cousin Michael, we’re introduced to Michaela.

However, during a Bridgerton season 3 press day, Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) might have accidentally spoiled that the season 4 lead will be Claudia Jessie‘s Eloise and not Benedict or Francesca. Either way, Bridgerton showrunner Jess Bronwell told The Hollywood Reporter that fans of “one of the ships [are] going to be very, very happy.”

But Jess Bronwell also confirmed that the end of Bridgerton season 3 (which hits Netflix June 13) has some major clues as to next season’s couple. “I do think that there are some clues at the end of season 3 of where we’re headed,” she tells TV Insider. “So yeah, I leave that to fans to pick apart, but I think we’re tipping our hand just a little bit.”

The Bridgerton season 3 ending introduces us to a gender-bent Michael Stirling (now Michaela), who may or may not end up being Francesca’s love interest in the future ;). I could see any of these three siblings taking the lead next season, so it really is anyone’s game!

So far, there have been two years in between each season, so I’m expecting season 4 to start streaming in 2026. And showrunner Jess Bronwell agrees.

“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range.”

Considering all three seasons of Bridgerton so far have eight episodes each, we can expect Netflix to keep up that pattern. Having the same number of episodes each season means the pace and arc for each Bridgerton sibling will be equal, making it a much more balanced watching experience! Plus, eight siblings, eight episodes, eight seasons.

For each character, for sure,” showrunner Chris Van Dusen tells Collider.

After Bridgerton season 4, I’m most interested to see youngest sibling Hyacinth‘s love story play out! Seeing her arc throughout all eight seasons, especially mirrored with the way her brothers and sisters evolve over the course of the show, is going to be the perfect way to wrap this series up.
