Ryan Reynolds Trolls His Deadpool & Wolverine Co-star, Hugh Jackman in a New X Post

Ryan Reynolds, known for his quick wit and sharp humor, has once again taken the Internet to storm with his new comedic stunt, which poked at his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star, Hugh Jackman.

The Proposal actor shared a satirical post in which he recounted his conversation with his co-star, who suggested a title change for the movie.

In a post on his X account, Reynolds described a typical morning conversation with the Wolverine actor who proposed the title “Absolutely Wolvie,” humorously presented on a piece of toilet paper written in mascara.

While this conversation might sound quite absurd, Reynolds’ humorous post took a whimsical turn as he continued calling Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to discuss the proposed title.

The Deadpool star added his unique humor, by describing Feige’s reaction to the proposed title change in an exaggerated manner. He wrote,

I hit him with the new title. He said, “Ryan, a title change this late in the game is not only impossible, but you’d need a melon-baller lobotomy’ and a big, magic dumb-dumb wand to even attempt such a malignantly stupid and totally unforced error”. His words, not mine.

Not only did he subtly take a funny dig at his co-star, he went on to express the exaggerated reaction of the Marvel Boss to Jackman’s suggestion. He went on to poke fun at the dynamics of Hollywood filmmaking while paying homage to iconic actor, Robert Downey Jr.

The real gem of the post lies in Reynolds giving a playful nod to MCU star, Robert Downey Jr. He garnered global acclaim for portraying the role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Having kickstarted his superhero journey in the early 2000s, his character was given an eternal rest in Avengers: Endgame (2019) as the character sacrificed himself to save the universe.

By adding that he’s not a great listener, Reynolds claimed that he heard the MCU boss saying, “You have my full support! And the full support of Marvel and its parent company, Robert Downey Jr.”

Not only serves as a nod to the Oscar-winning actor but it also highlights the 47-year-old actor’s wit who deeply understands his audiences.

This post comes after the London premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine on Thursday, where the titular stars hit the red carpet alongside Peggy who plays Dogpool, a parallel reality version of Deadpool that was turned into a canine.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26.
