Kitty Song Covey is officially headed back to Seoul! Following the long-awaited trailer drop, we now have a confirmed release date, our first look at the new season, and the bombshell news that a certain Covey sister is finally making her return. Here is everything we know about XO, Kitty Season 3.
Since its debut in May 2023, XO, Kitty has been a massive hit for Netflix, successfully spinning off from the To All the Boys film franchise. After a renewal announcement back in June 2023, fans have been waiting patiently for the next chapter of Kitty’s international love life.
When is XO, Kitty Season 3 releasing on Netflix?
Netflix has officially confirmed that XO, Kitty Season 3 will premiere globally on April 2, 2026.
This date aligns with our previous reporting that the show was eyeing an early 2026 return after wrapping production in mid-2025. The third season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes.

The Big Surprise: Lana Condor Returns as Lara Jean
The biggest news accompanying the trailer is the official return of Lana Condor as Lara Jean Song Covey. This marks Condor’s first appearance in the spin-off series and her first time playing the character since the film franchise ended in 2021.
Lana told Netflix of her return, “It’s such a joy to be able to come back and see Anna. I think she did an amazing job creating the XO, Kitty world. It’s such a dream to be able to work with her again. I feel really excited, happy, and honored that I get to be back.”
Fans have long speculated about a sisterly reunion, and with Kitty navigating a complex “love quadrangle” in Seoul, she’s going to need her big sister’s advice more than ever.
What happened during production?
As we previously reported throughout 2024, Season 3 underwent a rigorous three-month shoot in Seoul, South Korea. Filming officially wrapped in late August 2024.
This season also sees a slight shift behind the scenes. While Jenny Han remains the creator and Executive Producer, Valentina Garza (Jane the Virgin) takes over as the sole Showrunner for Season 3.
Cast and New Characters for Season 3
In addition to the returning core cast, Season 3 introduces several new faces that we first identified during the casting calls earlier this year.
Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey
Minyeong Choi as Dae
Gia Kim as Yuri
Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho
Anthony Keyvan as Q
Regan Aliyah as Juliana
Sule Thelwell as Marius (New Series Regular)
Hojo Shin as Jiwon (New Cast Member)
Lana Condor as Lara Jean (Special Guest)
Other returning cast members include Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bhasin (Praveena), and Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison).
What to expect from the plot?
While the first episode titles previously teased a potential “family” connection (which we now know is Lara Jean), the core plot will deal with the fallout of the Season 2 cliffhanger.
Kitty is now juggling her feelings for Yuri, while Min Ho famously confessed his feelings for Kitty on the flight back from London. Meanwhile, Dae is still in the mix, and the arrival of Marius (Sule Thelwell) is sure to throw another wrench into the romantic dynamics at KISS.
The official synopsis for the 8-episode return reads:
“Kitty Song Covey returns for her final year at KISS with her perfect senior year mapped out. She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans, and relationships, off course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.”
