Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 Is Almost Here — Release Date, Cast, Trailer, and All the Juicy Details Revealed! 😱💥

Fans of Nevermore Academy are in for a treat as the second half of Wednesday’s sophomore season prepares to drop. Expect new faces, shocking twists, and a trailer that teases secrets no one saw coming. 👀👇

A fan-favorite character returns as Wednesday’s spirit guide

Netflix’s Wednesday has finally returned for its second season after a near three-year wait, and Season 2 is receiving Netflix’s now-signature multi-part release rollout. The coming-of-age mystery from creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive producer Tim Burton debuted the first half of its second season, which consisted of four episodes, on Aug. 6. The final four episodes of the season will drop in September, and the wait is infinitely more torturous given the cliffhanger ending of Season 2 Part 1.

In Season 2, Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday is back at Nevermore Academy, and though her stalker from Season 1 has now been revealed — it turned out to be vanisher Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton) — new threats have emerged. Wednesday is determined to stop the death of her best friend Enid (Emma Myers), which she saw in a vision, and uncover the secrets at the psychiatric hospital Willow Hill.

Here’s everything we know about when Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 is coming out, who is in the cast, and what to expect based on trailers.

Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 release date

Wednesday Season 2 is premiering in two parts. Part 1 of the new season was released on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and Part 2 will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Like Part 1, Part 2 contains four episodes.

Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 trailers and teasers

The official trailer for Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 has dropped, and it features the most unsurprising spoiler ever: Wednesday is all right after Tyler (Hunter Doohan), aka the Hyde, pushed her out the window at Willow Hill. At the end of Season 2 Part 1, Wednesday is left unconscious on the ground, but the new trailer shows her waking up — with a new spirit guide at her side. This spirit guide is none other than Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), who was devastatingly murdered by Marilyn Thornhill (Christina Ricci), or Laurel Gates, in the first season. Christie herself told TV Guide in 2022 that she felt like Weems “would never be dominated by something as commonplace as death.” And, sure enough, death is not stopping her from being a part of Wednesday Season 2.

The trailer also teases Lady Gaga’s appearance in Season 2 Part 2: It definitely sounds like she’s the one at the 1:32 mark saying, “Beware, there will be a price to pay.”

Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 ending

In the episode “If These Woes Could Talk,” Wednesday and Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) find out the truth behind Willow Hill’s “LOIS.” LOIS is actually not a person like they thought, but rather the acronym for the secret program “Long-term Outcast Integration Study.” Augustus Stonehurst (Philip Philmar) had launched this program with the goal of extracting Outcasts’ powers and giving them to Normies. His first successful experiment was his daughter, Judi (Heather Matarazzo), who became an Avian — yes, the same Avian who’s been haunting Wednesday. We met Judi as the executive assistant to Dr. Fairburn (Thandiwe Newton), but she actually is secretly continuing her father’s work in the hospital’s basement.

Wednesday and Uncle Fester free the outcasts who have been locked away because of LOIS, and they promptly attack Judi. One particular outcast who stays back draws Wednesday’s attention. The identity of this character — a seemingly frail woman who is asking to die — is not revealed. But it’s more than likely that she is Wednesday’s Aunt Ophelia, who’s been referenced multiple times this season.

In the chaos of the outcasts escaping Willow Hill, Laurel Gates gets the opportunity to save Tyler. Little does she know that once freed, he’ll transform into his Hyde form and kill her. Tyler then comes face to face with Wednesday. He decides not to murder his former friend and instead tosses her out of the building. The last shot we see of Wednesday in Season 2 Part 1 is of her knocked out on the ground in the rain.
