Eminem and Snoop Dogg seem to have the health scare of Dr. Dre in 2021 that helped them repair their relationship.
The rappers, who first collaborated more than two decades ago, had an acrimonious relationship that culminated in 2020 when public comments by Snoop, 50, insulting Eminem, 49, prompted the star to ‘ dissed Snoop Dogg in his lyrics.
But when Dr. Dre, 57, suffered a brain aneurysm in January 2021 and spent two weeks in intensive care, the hip-hop star was inspired to put the past behind him, writes People.

“Me and Snoop had our problem before what happened with Dre, the brain aneurysm thing. We said, bro this is bullshit. It is foolish to argue now. So I don’t remember if I called him, or he called me, I don’t remember, but we talked,” Eminem told his manager, Paul Rosenberg, on SiriusXM’s “Paul Pod: Curtain Call 2.”
Eminem said he believes any tension between the two could be considered a “misunderstanding” about a potential collaboration.
The “Love the Way You Lie” rapper collaborated with Snoop, Dre, Xzibit and Nate Dogg on his song “Bitch Please II” from his 2000 album “The Marshall Mathers LP” — and said he thinks something was misunderstood after Snoop asked Eminem to appear on one of his songs.

“I think he wanted to do something with me and maybe he gave you the idea or something,” Eminem reminded him.
“And I said ‘well, let’s hear what the song is first. Let’s see what kind of song it is.’ And I think he said that the way he took it was something like I didn’t want to do it with him,” the rapper said.
Next, Rosenberg interjected who recalled the conversation similarly and said that while he didn’t remember the exact circumstances, he did say that Snoop wanted Eminem to contribute in some way to his album.
“I don’t even think I told him, because I don’t remember talking to him, but I may have talked to someone on his team and everything I said was relayed to him in a way that he didn’t. liked and he thought you wanted nothing to do with him. Which it obviously wasn’t,” explained Rosenberg.
Eminem later said that he eventually explained to Snoop Dogg that he was deeply inspired by the rapper’s debut album Doggystyle, which was released in 1993.

Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) and Snoop (Calvin Broadus Jr.) have collaborated several times, even sharing the stage at Super Bowl LVI earlier this year alongside Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar.
The pair also teamed up for “From the D 2 the LBC,” which they performed at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
Although their relationship is now friendly, things turned sour in 2020 after Snoop said in an interview that he didn’t think Eminem was one of the top 10 greatest rappers of all time.
“Dr. Dre probably put Eminem in the position where he would be considered one of the top 10 rappers ever. That’s just because it’s with Dr Dre. When you talk about hip-hop that I can’t live without, I can live without it,” Snoop said, referring to Eminem.
In response, Eminem referenced the “Gin and Juice” rapper on his 2020 track “Zeus.”

In 2021, Eminem told Shade 45 that Snoop’s comments caught him off guard.
“Everything he said was good, up to a point. He said Dre made me better, absolutely, why would I have a problem with that?…. It was the last statement where he said, ‘As much as I can’t live without music, I can live without it,’ now you’re showing disrespect,” Eminem said.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club in October 2021, Snoop said he apologized to Eminem for the comments.
“Man, I love Eminem. The thing is, we love hip-hop so much, we compete, we fight with rappers, so it was supposed to cause it. But we’re brothers and we’re family, so we learned to appreciate each other for what we do and we had a long conversation about the respect we have for each other and how we should speak publicly about each other,” he said. said Snoopy.
