The mystery of the JonBenét Ramsey murder case deepens as the ex-girlfriend of a former suspect drops a stunning revelation about her old flame.

Jacqueline Dilson, the former partner of Robert “Chris” Wolf, recounted how on Christmas Day 1997, Wolf disappeared from their Colorado residence for several hours, returning with a suspicious story about attending a work party. His behavior that night and in the ensuing weeks raised alarm bells for Jacqueline, prompting her belief that he could be responsible for the death of six year old JonBenét.

Wolf, who has always proclaimed his innocence, is one of the few to have been arrested by police in connection with the notorious, unresolved crime. As recently as 2011, authorities confirmed Wolf underwent extensive probing as a potential culprit.

On the morning after Christmas in 1996, JonBenét’s parents awoke to find their young daughter missing from their Boulder home. It wasn’t until later in the day that JonBenét was tragically discovered lifeless under a blanket in a basement storage room, bound at the wrists, gagged with duct tape, and strangled with a garrote fashioned from paintbrushes.

According to Jacqueline, law enforcement’s early concentration on JonBenét’s parents, John and Patsy Ramsey—who were immediately suspected following the grim discovery—may have caused them to ignore critical evidence implicating Wolf in the crime. The case, which has gripped the nation for years, remains an open wound, with no definitive answers in sight.

Jacqueline tipped off the police to his unsettling behavior following the murder of JonBenét. She’s now urging authorities to re-examine the case, the Daily Mail reports. Jacqueline recounted waking up the day after Christmas to find Wolf showering with soiled clothes nearby.

Inquisitive about his Christmas Day whereabouts, she described him becoming combative. His outrage at news reports on JonBenét and disturbing comments wishing death upon her father, whom he accused of molestation, are detailed in police records.

Jacqueline turned over Wolf’s garments for DNA analysis and provided his handwriting samples to compare with a ransom note found next to JonBenét’s body. Brought in for questioning, Wolf rebuffed any involvement, balked at giving DNA or handwriting samples, and eventually complied.

Additionally, Jacqueline presented a rope bought from Home Depot before the murder, noting that several feet were unaccounted for. The couple met in spring 1994 but soon, their union devolved into arguments and erratic conduct.

By December 1996, living together became untenable as Wolf’s “kind of scary” demeanor and violent mood swings prompted Jacqueline’s desire to expel him. She also alleges that she became suspicious when Wolf began borrowing her truck and disappearing for hours.

The tension reached a climax on Christmas Day when Jacqueline’s adult son gifted Wolf a T-shirt emblazoned with ‘Santa Barbara’. Wolf reportedly reacted negatively, questioning if it was from a tennis club, which he viewed as a symbol of capitalist excess. Eerily, the ransom note found near JonBenét’s body was signed ‘S.B. T.C’. Despite police stating they had thoroughly investigated him and cleared him of involvement, Jacqueline remains unconvinced.

She has written a book detailing her experiences in the hope it might prompt police to re-investigate him. In her book, The Unheard Call, Wolf is portrayed as a radical with anti-capitalist beliefs.

He allegedly harbored resentment against John Ramsey due to his connection with arms manufacturer Lockheed Martin. She suggests that Wolf’s motive was revenge against what he perceived as John’s role in the deaths of innocent women and children in global conflicts.

She alleges that he returned on Boxing Day morning, ranting about the “mother****** on the hill with his computer systems that are killing women and children in third world countries.” ‘The Hill’ was a colloquial term for the affluent Boulder area where the Ramseys resided. At this stage, details of the murder had not yet been publicly disclosed.

Jacqueline has come forward with claims that following the infamous case, Wolf developed an unsettling fixation on the media coverage, constantly berating the press for the lack of details being reported. But it was his eerie comment post-Christmas that really sent shivers down her spine, as she recounted him saying: “You know, me and OJ [Simpson] have a lot in common. We get away with everything.”

In a separate disturbing revelation, she alleged that he mused aloud: “You know I was just thinking, if I was going to strangle someone, I wouldn’t use my hands. I’d use a rope. Wouldn’t you?” This particularly haunted her, considering it was not public knowledge at the time that JonBenét had been strangled with a rope.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she expressed a relentless drive to contribute to solving the case, stating, “I’ve felt this burden of responsibility that I was one of the only people who could help to finally solve this case,” adding, “And there’s no way I can stop pushing until I get answers. It’s like a train inside of me that refuses to quit.”

However, Wolf dismissed the allegations as “completely absurd” to the same publication. He recounted an unnerving police interrogation where officials pressed him to divulge “everything about the murder”, although he had only been brought in for a suspended driving license issue.

The case also involved John Mark Karr, another suspect who falsely confessed to the brutal slaying in 2006, but was exonerated due to mismatched DNA evidence at the crime scene.
