Two teenagers have died in a horror crash between a bus and motorbike, leaving the local community ‘distraught’.

The boys, aged just 14 and 15, were involved in the fatal collision in Sydney, Australia.

NSW Police were called to the scene at Liverpool Parramatta T-way, Bossley Park at around 7.10pm on Monday, March 23.

The boys have been identified as William Drake, 15, rider, and Adrian Lai, 14 by Nine News.

Both were treated by paramedics but sadly passed away at the scene.

The bus driver – a 48-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing. The passengers onboard at the time were also uninjured.

One witness said: “I saw this little kid get hit by a big bus, we were just going through. We saw the bus doing a [U-turn], and this guy went straight under the bus.”

Following the collision on the infamous road for accidents local schoolchildren and residents laid tributes and paid their respects.

Fairfield City Council Mayor, Frank Carbone, told local media that the community is “very sad… We feel terrible and distraught”.

“This is an unfortunate accident that’s happened. These are members of our community so it’s broken our heart,” he told Sunrise.

“I’m going (through) a bit of mixed emotions, obviously because we’ve lost two young kids and I feel for the bus driver as well and the passengers.

“But also I’m a little bit upset and angry because we have highlighted this issue to the New South Wales government before.”

A crime scene remains in place at the T-way as the police carry out an investigation.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information about this incident, dashcam footage or CCTV, is urged to contact Fairfield City Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
