Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony Bridgerton's love story with Kate Sharma is fan-favourite among many fans of the show (pictured: Jonathon Baila as Anthony Bridgerton and Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma)

Anthony Bridgerton’s love story with Kate Sharma is fan-favourite among many fans of the show.

Although they finished the second season blissfully in love, Anthony and Kate’s romance began with a rocky start.

At the beginning of season two, Anthony is betrothed and courting Kate’s sister Edwina.

But upon realising Anthony and Kate are enamoured with one another, Edwina dashes back down the aisle calling it quits on her betrothal.

Despite the familial drama, the couple’s forbidden love story has a happy ending, with Anthony declaring his love for Kate and asking her to marry him.

Although Edwina stopped speaking to Anthony and Kate for a short while, she also found her own happy ending as she was introduced to Queen Charlotte’s ‘available’ nephew.

Daphne Bridgerton

During the first season, Daphne Bridgerton was the top pick of most suitors - but her eyes were firmly set on the Duke (pictured: Jean Page as Simon Basset and Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton)

Although Anthony’s love affair with Kate got tongues wagging, it was the eldest daughter of the Bridgerton that kicked off the hit Netflix show.

During the first season, Daphne Bridgerton was the top pick of most suitors in the Ton, with Queen Charlotte even remarking how ‘flawless’ she was.

Despite having her pick of the bunch, Daphne only had eyes for one man – the complicated Duke of Hastings – Simon Bassett.

Their slow-burn romance soon became fiery as they became physically intertwined…several times.

However, their relationship eventually reached a head when the Duke confessed that he didn’t want children.

Eventually, his view on children begins to change after he spends some time taking care of the Bridgerton’s youngest children.

By the end of the first season, Daphne and Simon have their first son who is set to be the Duke’s heir.

However, in the books their brood is far from small as the two share five children altogether – three girls and two boys.

Francesca Bridgerton

Francesca not only had one but two husbands according to the novels (Pictured: Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton, Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton)

The sixth child of the Bridgerton brood, Francesca, has a love life set to rival her sibling’s fiery romances.

Whilst both Daphne and Anthony had rocky paths to true love, Francesca’s is even more outlandish considering the time period in which the series is set – given that she has two husbands.

The central character in Julia Quinn’s sixth instalment of the literary series, Francesca meets her first husband John Stirling, the 8th Earl of Kilmartin.

Unfortunately, tragedy strikes as – in the book – the lovebirds are unable to have children together.

John also tragically dies, and Francesca eventually strikes up a relationship with his cousin Michael Stirling.

In the end, the couple have two children, one being named John after her first husband.

Colin Bridgerton

Colin Bridgerton’s complicated romance with Penelope Featherington is front and centre in the third season of the show.

Penelope has been in love with Colin throughout the entirety of the first two seasons, however the feelings were never reciprocated.

However this season their friendship is set to grow into a blooming love affair after Colin returns from travelling.

Penelope has struggled to find a suitor, however, this social season Colin gives her a helping hand.

Their relationship becomes complicated when Colin discovers Penelope is Lady Whistledown – the town’s gossip.

While fans of the Netflix series are waiting to see how the love affair pans out, those who have read the book will know the couple tie the knot and end up welcoming four children of their own.

Eloise Bridgerton

Despite being very uninterested in the prospect of marriage, Eloise eventually marries Sir Phillip Crane in the novels (pictured: Claudia Jesse as Eloise Bridgerton)

Bridgerton fans have been eagerly awaiting Eloise Bridgerton’s love story to grace our screens.

The quick-witted Bridgerton daughter is a staunch feminist, firmly against getting married.

In the show, she has sat out two social seasons on the sidelines – with no interest in finding a husband.

However, fans can rest assured, that Eloise eventually does meet her match in the book To Sir Phillip Crane.

Eloise’s life is turned on its head when she meets single father and widower Sir Phillip Crane.

Despite her previous beliefs, the couple eventually get married and have three children as well as Phillip’s twins from his first marriage.

Benedict Bridgerton

Benedict (pictured: Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton) has a Cinderella like story with Sophie Beckett in the novels, when he meets her at a ball but fails to get her name

The Netflix series is yet to touch on the love story of the second eldest Bridgerton son – Benedict.

The third instalment of the novel series, An Offer From A Gentleman follows his love story with Sophie Becket.

Similarly to Cinderella, the young man first laid eyes on Sophie at a ball but failed to catch her name.

But when it struck midnight, Sophie fled from the ball only leaving a glove behind.

However, like a fairytale, the two become madly in love and give birth to four children.

It is not yet clear when the show will retell the story of his romance, as according to StyleCaster – Sophie has not yet been cast.

Gregory Bridgerton

Similarly to his brother, Gregory (pictured: Will Tilson as Gregory Bridgerton) has a slow burn friends to lovers romance with Lucinda Abernathy

The final book from the eighth Regency romance series – On The Way To The Wedding – details Gregory Bridgerton’s relationship with Lucinda Abernathy.

Their romance begins quite unconventionally, with Lucinda – also known as Lucy – attempting to strike up a relationship between Gregory and her best friend Hermione Watson.

However, Gregory and Lucy end up developing strong feelings for one another.

But it wasn’t plain sailing, as Lucy had to call it quits on her engagement to another suitor.

The lovebirds eventually end up making it official and getting married and thereafter have a staggering nine children.

If you are concerned about Lucy’s best friend Hermione – there is no need to fret as she will end up tying the knot with Lucy’s older brother Richard, if the books are anything to go by.

Hyacinth Bridgerton

Hyacinth winds up marrying Lady Danbury's grandson after they fall in love whilst translating his grandfathers diary (pictured: Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton and Luke Newton as Colin)

The youngest of the Bridgerton family, Hyacinth is a self-assured young lady, She is also very crafty and wise.

Brought to light within the story It’s In Hiss Kiss, Hyacinth becomes enamoured with Lady Danbury’s grandson, Gareth St. Clair.

The pair develop a bond as they take up the task of translating Gareth’s grandfather’s diary.

In the end, the lovebirds tie the knot and welcome two children into the world – George and Isabella.
