Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 Trailer Teases Climactic Sophie & Benedict Scene After Controversial Offer

Bridgerton season 4, part 2, is due to be released later this month, and Netflix has released a steamy trailer between the two love interests, Sophie Baek and Benedict Bridgerton, as they get a lot closer.

Season 4 follows the second-born Bridgerton son, Benedict (played by Luke Thompson), as he faces society pressures and pressures from his mother, Violet (played by Ruth Gemmell), to marry and settle down. At Bridgerton’s masquerade ball, Benedict sees a mysterious lady dressed in silver, and the two share a romantic moment before the lady vanishes.

The Lady in Silver turns out to be Sophie Baek (played by Yerin Ha), a maid shunned by her family, but Benedict is clueless, leading to a Cinderella-style hunt for her.

Netflix has released a new teaser for part 2 of Bridgerton‘s season 4, where fans will get to see if Benedict ever finds his mysterious Lady in Silver, and if Sophie accepts a new position as a mistress. The teaser hints at a major plot point in Julia Quinn’s novel An Offer From A Gentleman, which the season is based on.

The first four episodes have divided the internet due to Benedict’s bold offer for Sophie, who now works at Bridgerton house, to become his mistress. Since Sophie is still keeping the fact that she’s the Lady in Silver a mystery, she remains a maid despite being the illegitimate daughter of Lord Penwood after being forced into servitude by her stepmother, Araminta, after he dies.

Netflix has only released four episodes of season 4 of Bridgerton so far, but the series has already been slightly dividing critics and audiences. Critics have rated part 1 of season 4 at 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to the audience, which rated the series at 67% so far.

It’s still not been confirmed who will be the leading lady/gentleman to become the focus of season 5, but the next season has already been confirmed to be underway. Still, with Francesca’s marriage under the limelight and Eloise’s lack of prospects being questioned, either Bridgerton sister could be in the hot seat, awaiting the eyes of the ton.

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix, with part 2 of season 4 premiering on February 26.
