Eminem has released a touching new song written for daughter Hailie Jade Scott that has moved fans to tears.
The track, Temporary, was written to help Hailie cope for when her father is ‘no longer here’ – with the rapper promising to serve as her guardian angel.
The song is from Eminem’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), which was released on Friday.
It features heartwarming interactions between Eminem and his daughter when she was just a toddler.
The young father plays with his daughter and asks his little ‘monster’ for a kiss – and even playfully chastises her after she is caught saying a curse word.
Hailie, age 28, is now a married woman; the influencer wed Evan McClintock in May.

‘A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death?’ Eminem begins. ‘The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here. So this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes.’
In the lyrics, Eminem urges his daughter to ‘dry’ her tears and promises to forever watch over her.
‘Yeah, so Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song. To help you cope with life now that I’m gone. How should I start? Just wanna say.
‘Look after Eleana, Stevie and Uncle Nate/And, sweetie, be strong; I know I was your rock, and I still am/Saying goodbye is just not ever easy/Why you crying? Just stop/Hailie, baby, dry your eyes, this is not forever.’
Eminem also says, ‘Yeah, and you will get over me and move on/You can play me on repeat on a song/But don’t you dare shed a tear, what I tell you?
‘”Straighten up, little soldier”/Them times when I held you/Jade, it’ll be OK, baby, I’m here, hey/I’m watchin’ you right now, baby girl; I vow/I will protect you, your guardian angel/As hard as this may be feel, as parting is painful.
‘And darling, the rain will drive you insane still/You will remain strong, Hailie, just hang on/It won’t be too long; I need you to move on/And remember, it will get better/’Cause times heal.’
Fans were beside themselves as they reacted to the emotional track on X.
‘crying to Eminem’s new album was not something I thought I’d do today but holy f**k. was vibing to the music until “temporary” came on and I just started crying holy f**k. such a beautiful song,’ one posted.

Jade is the daughter of Eminem – real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III – and his ex-wife Kim Scott. She was raised in Detroit.
Her siblings include Alaina Marie Mathers, Stevie Laine Mathers, and Parker Scott.
She recently opened up about her childhood when she debuted her new podcast, Just A Little Shady, which is obviously a reference to her father Eminem’s evil and mischievous Slim Shady alter ego.
For the first episode, titled It’s A Double Entendre, Hailie reminisced about her ‘surreal’ childhood alongside co-host and BFF Brittany Edni.

The Michigan native then proceeded to dish about some of her memories of growing up on a tour bus.
They both joked about how the lifestyle was ‘casual’ to them and a part of their ‘normal conversations.’
Fondly recalling her childhood, Hailie said: ‘It’s so fun to look back … thinking back as an adult, I’m like, “Wow, that’s so, so surreal” and those memories of me thinking those were normal things, now I look back like, “Holy crap, that was cool.”‘
