The house in Toronto where Meghan Markle lived while she won over Prince Harry‘s heart has been put on the market for a second time.

Before she was the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan rented the three-bedroom house in Toronto for at least two years where she played host to the royal during their long-distance relationship.

Harry would reportedly make the trek to Toronto twice a month to visit Meghan while she was filming the legal drama Suits.

It was also home to Meghan’s two beloved dogs, Bogart and Guy, whose kennel and puppy play area, complete with sandpit, was positioned outside in the garden where she was known to throw summer barbecues for friends.

Described as having ‘elegant’, high-end finishes, the detached property, which held fond memories for Prince Harry, has been renovated recently.

It was previously sold for $1.6 million (£900,000) in 2018, the year after Meghan moved to London. It is now on the market on the £1.9 million dollars (£1.1 million)

The entry door is painted ‘Tiffany’ blue, according to the listing, and the property boasts two ‘spa-inspired’ bathrooms.

Complete with a double garage (and a Tesla charger), the house is said to be in a location ‘cherished by families, academics and celebrities’ due to its proximity to ‘excellent schools’, five supermarkets and even an ice rink.

‘Don’t miss this rare opportunity!’, the listing said.

The former actress has clearly climbed up the property ladder since marrying into the Royal Family.

The £19.5 million Tuscan-style mansion she shares in Montecito, California, with Prince Harry and their two children, has seven bedrooms, 13 and a half bathrooms, a cinema, gym, pool and chicken coop.

The couple’s sitting room is home to a grand piano from actor-director Tyler Perry -whose Beverly Hills mansion they first stayed in following their move from Canada.

In an interview with The Cut, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared how her home in Southern California makes her ‘feel free’ and is ‘calm and healing’.

The magazine revealed features of the property including the two connected palm trees in the garden – which Prince Harry refers to as himself and Meghan.

Even Archie calls the vegetation ‘Momma’ and ‘Papa’ when he passes by.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex even share an office with ‘two plush club chairs placed side by side behind a single desk, facing into the room like thrones’, according to the magazine.

Scattered throughout the mansion are Soho Houses candles.

Meghan and Harry are said to have been set up on a blind date at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse.

Writing for Cut Magazine, Allison P. Davis said: ‘The Montecito house is the kind of big that startles you into remembering that unimaginable wealth is actually someone’s daily reality.’

The features writer compared it to a classic Tuscan villa, a Napa vineyard and a Beverly Hills country club.

The Sussexes will have returned to their Montecito mansion having concluded their faux-royal tour of Colombia.

During the four-day trip, the couple delighted fans by speaking Spanish, playing the bongos and fondling each other during a steamy Salsa dance.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were welcomed by Colombia’s vice-president Francia Marquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo.
