‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Star Teases Big Maggie & Mickey Reunion in Season 4

Manuel García-Rulfo opened up about the return of Neve Campbell.

When Netflix launched The Lincoln Lawyer in 2022, the idea of expanding on the popular Matthew McConaughey movie, based on Michael Connelly’s book series, came with plenty of intrigue. Now, approaching Season 4, the series continues to truck along while earning high marks in the process.

While the show’s star, Manuel García-Rulfo, who plays Mickey Haller, has already spoken openly about his excitement for the new season, his latest comments addressed a fan-favorite on-screen relationship.

Notably absent from Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer was Haller’s on-screen ex-wife, Maggie McPherson, played by Neve Campbell. While Campbell will return for Season 4, Garcia-Rulfo opened up about the topic and expressed his excitement while speaking with Collider.

Not only did Garcia-Rulfo confirm the return of Maggie, but teased that there’ll be “a lot of Maggie and Mickey” in Season 4.

“She’s back, and I love that she’s back. I love Angus and Becki and Jazz because they’re so fun, and we’re always laughing. But this season, I enjoyed working with Neve because she’s the anchor of the emotionality of the story,” Garcia-Rulfo explained.

“They share a daughter, and you’ll get to see them together. I love working with Neve. She’s such a wonderful person and actress. I love that she’s back. There’s a lot of Maggie and Mickey, for sure.”

It’s exciting news for fans, and it also poses the question of what type of role McPherson could play in Season 4, considering the situation.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with the body of Sam Scales being found in Haller’s trunk. He’ll now have to prove his innocence, setting the dynamic for plenty of drama.

While the Season 4 release date hasn’t been announced, the expected timeline indicates that The Lincoln Lawyer is likely set to return in either late 2025 or early 2026.
