With the release date of Deadpool & Wolverine fast approaching, fans are excited to see what the only entry into the MCU in 2024 has in store for them after the year that Disney had with 2023. Largely expected to save the MCU, especially since Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine, Deadpool & Wolverine has some rumors floating around, which, if true, might not sit well with fans at all.
To begin with, audiences know for a fact that this will be a multiverse film, which means that there will be a slew of variants of Deadpool and Wolverine that are expected to be part of the story. One variant, that everyone is sure will be in the team up, is Lady Deadpool, a female version of Wade Wilson. A rumor that has been going around on the internet with regards to the casting of the character has gotten fans riled up, given that it would disappoint them to no end.
Fans want Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine
Taylor Swift has been long rumored to be in Deadpool & Wolverine, and while most fans had a different character in mind for the pop singer, it is a part of the rumor that she will be essaying the role of Lady Deadpool. This is something that has not settled with fans, as they fully expected the character to be played by Ryan Reynolds’ real-life partner, Blake Lively.
Deadpool & Wolverine needs to feature Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool, given that the actress has the chops to place the character well. It is already proven that she has a lot of chemistry with Ryan Reynolds, which would elevate the character. However, Swift might still have a place in the film, and in a casting choice that fans could get behind in an instant.
Taylor Swift needs to play Dazzler in the MCU
Dazzler is a staple mutant character who has appeared in a slew of X-Men stories. First and foremost, Dazzler is a pop star, with the ability to convert vibrations into light of various intensities. This makes her one of the most powerful people on the planet when she is performing, given the amount.
While it might just be a cameo, Taylor Swift playing Dazzler is something fans have wanted to see for quite some time, and seeing the character in the MCU, with Hugh Jackman as Logan and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, would definitely help up Deadpool & Wolverine’s box office numbers.
