Snoop Dogg has made a bold promise to his unlikely business partner and bestie, Martha Stewart.
The duo set down for a short interview during Snoop’s stunt at the Paris Olympics. Martha fondly recalled introducing Snoop to daytime TV when no one else would. Snoop had made a lasting impression with his magic brownies and became a constant feature on the show. However, Martha confessed to having another dream: to meet Eminem.
— I tried to get Eminem on [my show]. And I still have not met Eminem in person.
She gave Snoop a pointed look. The rap star looked sheepish, admitting solemnly:
— This is my job.
Martha confirmed:
— That is your job. I have to meet him. [Snoop] is best friends with Eminem.
Snoop commits:
— I’mma bring Eminem. I’m not going to “call him”, I’m going to bring him.
Once, the meeting was arranged, but the timing was unfortunate. Dr Dre’s epic Super Bowl performance involving Eminem and Snoop was too big to mix with any other business. Martha reminded Snoop:
— Remember the Super Bowl? I was supposed to meet him there, and I didn’t get down there in time. I was trying to get down to the floor of the stadium and I didn’t get there.
Snoop does remember. The thrill, the event, and the fastest set he has ever played:
— They was moving people around so fast. That was the fastest 13 minutes of my life.
Admittedly, cooking shows do not feel like Eminem’s natural habitat. On the other hand, he has the Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant in his bag now, so who knows? Maybe he will be interested. And Snoop can be persuasive enough.
