It seems Prudence Featherington (Bessie Carter) was seen canoodling with Lord Alfred Debling. Yes, the same Lord Debling (Sam Phillips) who once had his eyes on Prudence’s younger sister Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

That’s right! According to a recent E! News report, Bessie and Sam were spotted on a PDA-filled outing in Sussex, England, on June 22.

Although neither Bessie nor Sam have publicly confirmed their relationship, there have been signs. They’ve been photographed together on multiple red carpets, including one with Bessie’s parents Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter, where they celebrated the Season 6 finale of The Crown.
Imelda played Queen Elizabeth II in the final two seasons of the show, while Sam the Queen’s Equerry Stephen Chambers in Seasons 3 and 4.

The Downton Abbey star and Harry Potter alum were also photographed with their daughter and Sam for the world premiere of Wonka in London the previous month.

Their relationship might date back earlier than we think. In fact, Bessie and Sam attended the press night performance of A Little Life in London, England together, to support their fellow Bridgerton costar Luke Thompson, who starred as Willem in the play adaptation.
