Tensions Rise as King Charles Tries to Build Manure Pit Next to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s House
King Charles wants to put a giant pool of manure next to Kate Middleton and Prince William’s home.
The slurry pit would be less than a mile away from Anmer Hall, Kate and William’s country home on the Sandringham Estate.
Neighbors are already spiraling over the “massive stink.”
For reasons that remain confusing, King Charles is considering putting a swimming pool-sized pit of slurry (aka liquid manure) on the Sandringham estate. Right by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s beloved country home, Anmer Hall.
According to The Express, Charles wants to plop over two million gallons of manure near the Georgian property, which was given as a gift from Queen Elizabeth II.
Meanwhile, neighbors are less than thrilled, with one source telling the Daily Mail, “We are all used to farmyard smells around here – but this lagoon will be enormous. Everyone is worried it will create a massive stink. Goodness knows what William and Kate think about it. It is a bit ironic that the landowner responsible for the plans is William’s father, the King.”

Kate and William just moved to their new home, Forest Lodge, on the Windsor Estate, but they do spend time in Sandringham—especially during Christmas when the royals gather on the estate to celebrate the holidays together.
So far, William hasn’t said anything publicly about his dad’s plans to build a giant pit of manure next to his literal home, but, you know…stay tuned!
