Fiona Harvey—Baby Reindeer’s real “Martha”—wants more from Piers Morgan after her first televised appearance to discuss the Netflix series.

Following her claims that she’s the woman portrayed as comedian Richard Gadd’s stalker in the blockbuster Netflix limited series, Harvey agreed to a sit-down interview with the journalist on his Piers Morgan Uncensored YouTube show last Thursday.

Harvey told the Daily Record in an interview Tuesday that she had initially been offered a small sum to do the interview with Morgan.

“They offered me £250 [$315] and I asked if that was what they paid everyone and, if so, I wanted to see documentation to that effect,” Harvey told the Daily Record. “That documentation has not been forthcoming. I have not signed a contract for the interview and I will be seeking far more than a piddling £250.”

Instead, Harvey added, she is seeking significantly more for the interview appearance, telling the Daily Record, “I’d settle for a million”—which in British pounds would equate to about $1.25 million in U.S. dollars.

Harvey Picked Apart Gadd’s Series In Interview With Morgan

In Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd tells a fictionalized version of his true-life tale as Donny Dunn, a struggling standup comedian and bartender who is relentlessly stalked by a woman he calls “Martha” (played by Jessica Gunning) after he is kind to the woman at the pub he works at.

Baby Reindeer is based on the comedian’s 2019 one-man stage show in the UK. Martha is said to have sent Gadd more than 41,000 emails and left 350 hours of voicemails over four-plus years, but Harvey denied those numbers in her interview with Piers Morgan.

When Morgan asked Fiona Harvey about the emails, she claimed to have sent only 10 to Gadd, along with a few text messages and about 18 tweets.

Denying Gadd’s account of the encounters that led to the creation of Baby Reindeer, Harvey also told Morgan, “I just generally think he’s got extreme psychiatric problems … It’s a work of fiction. It’s a work of hyperbole, as I’ve always said. And there are two true facts in that. His name is Richard Gadd, and he works as a jobbing barman on benefits, in the Hawley Arms. And we met, two or three times …”

Since the live YouTube event with the eponymous host of Piers Morgan Uncensored last week, the Harvey interview has been viewed about 10.9 million times.

Speaking with the Daily Mail before her Morgan interview, the-then unnamed Harvey said she was threatening to sue Gadd because she was “being bullied for fame.”

During her interview with Morgan, Harvey once again threatened to sue Gadd—as well as Netflix.

In her Tuesday interview with the Daily Record, Harvey was threatening to take things much further with Netflix.

“If I can’t get that show to shut down easily, if they don’t give me the money – and I’m talking £1million [$1.25 million]—politicians will shut the show down,” Harvey told the Daily Record. “If the behavior of Netflix has been discussed in Parliament as it has been discussed all over the country then the show will be shut down – as simple as that … I want at least £1million and they know it.”

The Daily Record noted that it has contacted Netflix, Gadd’s legal representation and Morgan’s production company for comment.
