Travis Kelce Reveals the Unexpected Gift He Gave Taylor Swift That Was a Huge Hit

He discussed it alongside his brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie on the Christmas Eve episode of “New Heights.”

Travis Kelce opened up on the December 24 episode of his podcast “New Heights” about what gift he gave Taylor Swift was the biggest hit.

The surprising present actually makes sense, if one is familiar with Swift’s hobbies.

What does one get one of the richest women in the world for Christmas, or for any other day of the year? Apparently, if you’re Travis Kelce giving a gift to Taylor Swift, a bread slicer is the safest bet for the present to be a hit.

Speaking on the December 24 episode of the podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, “New Heights,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said that the bread slicer went over extremely well, and that Swift—a baking enthusiast—often uses it when she bakes.

“I will say one of Tay’s favorite gifts that I got her was the bread slicer,” Travis told Jason and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, who joined the brothers for the Christmas Eve episode. Travis said he bought the gift “because she’s been throwing together so much fucking sourdough,” which he went on to call “the best gut healers.”

“I love you, Tay,” he sweetly added.

Swift herself admitted she’d been baking a ton of sourdough post-Eras Tour, which wrapped late last year. When Swift joined Travis and Jason for the August 13 episode of “New Heights,” she mentioned she was working on a few new flavors for Jason and Kylie’s daughters to try.

“There’s a blueberry lemon, a cinnamon swirl, cinnamon raisin, and this one I’ve been workshopping for the girls because they love everything rainbow—Funfetti sourdough,” Swift said. To this, Jason responded, “Oh my gosh. That’s gonna blow their mind.”

“No, it will, because they love sprinkles,” Swift continued. “Like, we put, you know, we put sprinkles in everything when we hang out.”

Swift admitted that sourdough had so “taken over my life in a huge way” that she was “really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now.”

“I’m just, like, always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, ‘Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback,’” Swift added. “‘Do you like this one better than you liked the other one? Like, I did the rise a little differently.’” She also added that she often reads “sourdough blogs,” and said, “There’s a whole community of us, and I didn’t know it. This is an underworld.”

On the Christmas Eve episode of “New Heights,” Jason praised his brother’s gift, saying that “slicing is a big deal.” He added, “It is true. One of the unfortunate things with making fresh bread is trying to cut that shit. It’s hard.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Kylie confronted her brother-in-law about his claims that, in their over two years together, he and Swift have never fought—a statement he made on the show’s December 3 episode alongside George Clooney, who also claims he’s never fought with his wife of 11 years, Amal Clooney.

“I do want to set the record straight—you don’t have to keep this in the show,” Kylie said. “When you said that you don’t fight, you were joking, right? Like, you were being sarcastic? The giggle afterward suggested that you were being sarcastic.” Travis doubled down on his comments, saying, “me and Tay, we definitely don’t fight.”

“We don’t either,” Kylie quipped, to which Jason replied, “That’s not true.”
