Nicola Coughlan is proving herself to be this season’s diamond one interview at a time. While attending a fan event in Dublin, the actress cheekily teased her upcoming nude scenes in the second half of Bridgerton Season 3, which drops on Netflix later this week.

It all started when Coughlan, who plays this season’s leading lady Penelope Featherington, was told by a fan that she was “very brave” for stripping down in the show.

“You know, I think it is hard because I think women with my body type — women with perfect breasts — we don’t get to see ourselves on screen enough,” Coughlan quipped, adding, “I am a very proud member of the perfect breasts community. I hope you enjoy seeing them!”

This is hardly the first time Coughlan has opened up about filming sex scenes. She previously revealed that one scene in which she was “very naked” was all her idea.

“I specifically asked for certain lines and moments to be included. There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice,” she told Stylist magazine last month. “It just felt like the biggest ‘fuck you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering.”

Coughlan added, “I felt beautiful in the moment, and I thought: ‘When I’m 80, I want to look back on this and remember how fucking hot I looked!’”

Each season of the hit romance series follows the love story of a different Bridgerton sibling, with this season focusing on Penelope and Colin Bridgerton’s (Luke Newton) journey from friends to lovers.

The first part of Bridgerton Season 3 left off on a major cliffhanger, with Colin proposing to Penelope moments after getting frisky in the backseat of a carriage. And the trailer for the second part reveals that it’s full-steam ahead for these horny lovebirds, teasing the infamous “mirror scene” first read about in Julia Quinn’s books on which the show is based.

In fact, things got so hot and heavy that Newton refused to let his Bridgerton superfan mom watch some of the episodes.

“I’m not letting her watch it just yet,” he said on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I need to get really good with the fast-forward button I think. There’s some steaminess.”

Bridgerton is currently streaming on Netflix.
