Starring in the lead role of Staten Kirkland in Ransom Canyon is Josh Duhamel. Duhamel is also known for his role as Lennox in Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise, where he appeared in four movies between 2007 and 2017. Minka Kelly stars alongside Duhamel as Quinn O’Grady, and she’s best known for her roles in Just Go with It (Adam Sandler) and 500 Days of Summer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Eoin Macken can also be seen as David Collins in Netflix’s hit Western series, and he most recently starred in La Brea and Borderline. James Brolin, father of legendary Thanos actor Josh Brolin, also stars in Ransom Canyon as Cap Fuller. Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Marianly Tejada, and Jack Schumacher also feature in Ransom Canyon. The show was written and created for television by April Blair, and it’s based on the popular novel by Jodi Thomas.
What’s Streaming on Netflix Right Now?
Ransom Canyon has been replaced in the Netflix top 10 by other series like Secrets We Keep, which debuted with a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, general audiences are not as high on the series. The latest season in Tim Miller’s anthology series, Love, Death & Robots, also hit Netflix last week, and while it did manage to make it into the top 10, it couldn’t ride its perfect Rotten Tomatoes score higher than the #7 spot. Judy Blume’s new show, Forever, and Tina Fey’s comedy series, The Four Seasons, are also in the Netflix top 10.
