Jimmy “MrBeast” has had a tumultuous 2024, with multiple allegations spreading against him, coming from participants in his YouTube videos and former employees. Despite all the controversy, the YouTuber has released a new video on his channel, which currently has over 310 million subscribers, where he is stranded in a cave for seven days.

In the video, the team set up camp, used primitive methods to cook food, and made hammocks to sleep. MrBeast and his crew members ventured deep into the cave, geared up with the necessary equipment to survive a week under the rocks. While the expedition started simple, it slowly became dangerous, especially with the flooding that occurred while they traveled deeper into the cave.

Luckily the team had two safety experts, professionals on board who guided MrBeast throughout the cave, ensuring the group’s safety, especially while they shifted through the fast-moving waters underground.

The video also included a promotion for MrBeast’s ‘Swarms’ toy line, which he released even as controversies involving him grew. The crew’s journey concluded with the crew returning to land after witnessing a beautiful view of bioluminescent glow worms, stuck to the cave’s ceiling.

MrBeast’s emphasis on ‘safety’ in this video, could be an attempt at shaking off the allegations put forward by Jake Weddle, a former employee of the channel.

For those out of the loop, Jake spoke about alleged mistreatment from MrBeast after he was subject to a distressing experience on set related to filming a 30-day solitary confinement challenge.

According to Weddle, the conditions were so extreme—such as being unable to sleep due to constant lighting—that he developed insomnia and had to leave the challenge prematurely. He claimed that MrBeast pressured him to continue even after his health began to deteriorate.
