When it comes to accessorizing, Kate Middleton and daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, have the exact same taste. The princesses were spotted on a rare outing for the holidays wearing matching Christmas bows, and they both looked so elegant!

Middleton and Charlotte were spotted on their way to King Charlesâ Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. The Princess of Wales wore a red-and-white polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich, per Page Six, and Charlotte had a velvet maroon dress, which were both cheery for the season. Both had their hair pulled halfway back from their face, with Middletonâs tied up in a black velvet Miu Miu bow and Charlotteâs in a maroon bow that matched her dress.

Charlotte often wears bows in her hair at public events, often also incorporated with braids. Unlike her momâs complementary bow, Charlotteâs bows often are in the same color as her outfits. Earlier this month, she attended her momâs âTogether at Christmasâ carol service, where she wore a navy blue dress with a white collar and a matching velvet blue bow. At the same event, her brothers Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, and their dad Prince William, also wore coordinating shades of navy blue.
The royals often match outfits, which fashion expert Amber Graafland says is done for a reason. She told The Sun in January, âBy complementing each other, and sticking to a color theme, they are showcasing a united front. Itâs a technique Prince William and Princess Kate use to show how in tune they are when they attend official engagements together, and they also deploy it with their children.â

Led by The Princess of Wales and supported by The Royal Foundation, the annual event offered a chance to pause and reflect on the values of love, compassion, and the connections we share. The service also highlighted remarkable individuals from across the UK who have demonstrated extraordinary kindness, empathy, and support within their communities. âAdept at using their clothing to convey coded messages, the Waleses know that by presenting a refined and harmonious image they convey a close-knit family with a strong bond,â Graafland continued. âIt also makes them instantly recognizable on the world stage.â Not to mention, the matching colors look so good in pictures!
The royal familyâs style is all so good, but we particularly love a matching moment between Princess Charlotte and her mom. Hopefully weâll see another at the annual Christmas Day walk.
