MAFS Australia: Are David And Alissa Still Together?
Alissa’s recent comments have left fans worried

MAFS Australia has returned to our screens, and it’s proving to be more chaotic than ever.
Matched by a panel of relationship experts, our contestants marry a stranger, before cameras then follow them as they explore whether this is a relationship that can actually work. And with breakups, success stories, and one shock pregnancy announcement, the fates of our couples are slowly being revealed.
One of these couples is Alissa Fay and David Momoh, who were one of the first to walk down the aisle this season.
So, have Alissa and David made it all the way – or did their relationship end once MAFS Australia cameras stopped rolling? Here’s what we know…
Are Alissa and David from MAFS Australia still together?
Despite an awkward start at the alter that saw Alissa demand David get down on one knee and propose, this pairing quickly became one of MAFS 2026’s most secure couples.
As of now, it’s not 100% clear whether they made it past the final vows – however, a recent interview has left fans worrying this might be one romance destined for the rocks.
Alissa recently spoke to SAFM Adelaide about her time on the show, revealing that her partner David was given a ‘good edit.’ While some fans questioned whether this might be a hint at a split, others have argued it’s simply some friendly banter.
Alongside this, Alissa previously told Chattr that there was a ‘lot of context missing’ on the show – revealing that ‘cracks’ had begun to appear. ‘It won’t make sense to the viewers because there have been storylines missed, big key elements to our relationship,’ she explained. ‘I’ve always been very open about how I’m feeling, and I feel like there could have been times where we could have had better conversations, or maybe he could have spoken up a little bit more, because I’m very open with my communication and what I need and what I want. But, you know, no one’s f*cking perfect.’
In an interview with TV WEEK, David also hinted that their marriage wasn’t quite as strong as it may have appeared. ‘I gave 100 per cent to the experiment,’ he said, adding, ‘There were red flags from the beginning – like the ‘get down on one knee’ thing – but I decided to push through because I didn’t want to repeat prejudices I might have on the outside. But I was at my limit.’
The former nurse and e-commerce product manager do still follow each other on Instagram though, which is a good sign. As for whether Alissa and David’s romance blossomed into true love, it looks like we’ll have to wait until the end of the series to figure this one out. Married at First Sight Australia continues on E4 and Channel4.com
