CHRISTIAN B has written a letter from his prison cell, claiming his innocence and has hit back at prosecutors and their investigation.
The 44-year-old, has broken his silence after a year of being linked to the disappearance of Madeline McCann, the Independent reports.
He has branded the legal probe a “scandal” and said the prosecutor should resign from his duties.
In his letter on paper, he wrote: “Charging an accused is one thing.
“Something completely different – namely, it is an unbelievable scandal – when a public prosecutor starts a public campaign for prejudice before a court case is opened.
“Freedom of expression is not a basic right so that everyone can say and write what they want. Freedom of expression does not protect the majority.
“It protects the minority.”
He continued: “It does not protect the most logical, most convincing or most popular views, but rather the outsider position.”

WHAT HAVE OTHER ‘PSYCHICS’ CLAIMED ABOUT MADDIE?
Last year US police psychic Fia Johansson said Maddie was alive and living in Koln, Germany.
She said: “She’s alive, I can see that she is in Germany. She has no clue about her other family.

Johansson claimed the missing girl may be reunited with her family in 2022 or 2024 when she will become a famous singer.

Using the same technique Schneider was able to help police locate a missing woman, who was found hanging from a tree, within 36 hours.
He also managed to pinpoint exactly where murdered couple Peter Neumair, 63, and Laura Perselli, 68, would be found.
They vanished from their home in Bolzano, Italy, in January 2021.

Speaking about Madeleine’s case Schneider said: “I do not give out such information lightly and without constantly questioning myself because I am very well aware of the responsibility of what I do.
“I am happy that the BKA seem to be taking me seriously.
“Often you have a reputation as a freak or someone just trying to squeeze money out of someone, and this is quite hurtful. I never take money.”

WHO IS MICHAEL SCHNEIDER?
Michael Schneider, 50, is a clairvoyant who has helped police locate missing people in a number of cases.
In May 2021, he contacted the BKA– Germany’s equivalent of the FBI – claiming he knew the exact location of Madeleine‘s body, in a forest about six miles from where she disappeared.
They allegedly replied saying: “Your information will be appropriately incorporated into our work.”
German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told the Sunday People his officers have used clairvoyants – people who claim to have supernatural abilities – to aid other cases.
INVESTIGATION ‘DRYING UP’
Peter Kirkham, an ex-Scotland Yard detective chief inspector, said he suspects the investigation was “rapidly drying up” and said it appeared the German cops were “dragging their feet”.
Public prosecutors in the city of Braunschweig have maintained it has “strong evidence” he was guilty.
But investigators have refused to say what proof they have.
HOW OLD WOULD MADELEINE MCCANN BE NOW?
Madeleine would have turned 18 on May 12, 2021.
In April 2012, UK cops released a computer-generated image of Madeleine showing what she would look like aged nine.
In 2019 updated age progression images were uploaded on social media but Kate and Gerry said the images of Madeleine were bogus.
Kate and Gerry warned the fake images were neither “commissioned nor endorsed” by them or Scotland Yard’s Operation Grange team.
DUBIOUS CLAIMS
Police are investigating a psychic’s claims he knows coordinates of Madeleine McCann’s remains.
Psychic Michael Schneider – who has solved other murder cases in Europe – got in touch with German investigators with claims of where Maddie is buried.
The clairvoyant has said Madeleine McCann’s body “is unfortunately dead and buried in Portugal, north-east of Lagos”.

WHY IS THE MADELEINE MCCANN CASE FAMOUS
The disappearance of three-year-old Madeleine McCann is a case which shocked the world.
The little girl vanished from her holiday flat in Portugal on May 3, 2007 while her parents Kate and Gerry McCann dined in a nearby restaurant and 12 years on her whereabouts remains a mystery.
In the Netflix documentary The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, it is claimed that parents Kate and Gerry, who are both doctors, had contacts within the UK media and used them to publicise the case.
However, interest in the story took on an unprecedented momentum when British man Robert Murat and then Kate and Gerry were made suspects.
Maddie’s parents and Mr Murat have always strongly denied any involvement in the child’s disappearance and were cleared of any wrongdoing by Portuguese investigators.
The little girl, who would now be aged 16, has never been found and interest in the case remains strong.
‘NEVER STOP BELIEVING IN HOPE’
Madeleine McCann’s mum and dad said they “still believe in miracles” in a poignant post to mark the missing girl’s 18th birthday in April.
Kate and Gerry, both 53, haven’t given up hope almost 14 years after Madeleine disappeared in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007.
She was just three when she vanished.
In a post on the Official Find Madeleine Campaign Facebook page, her mum and dad, of Rothley, Leics, said: “Never stop believing in hope because miracles happen every day.
“Want to send a heartfelt thank you to all who continue to be by our side.”

DISTURBING DETAILS
Disturbing details continue to emerge about Christian B and his past crimes as the probe into his links to Madeleine continues.
Australian TV show 60 Minutes reported his fantasy claims, with the paedophile’s friend also alleging Christian B used to run a kiosk next to a school and kindergarten in Brunswick.
He said: “[The children] would spend their pocket money on sweets here.
“He gave the kids lollies for free.”
And this is despite him already being a convicted sex offender – having abused children as early as 1994.
HOUSE OF HORRORS
Madeleine McCann prime suspect Christian B fantasised about creating a Josef Fritzl-style dungeon at his home, a pal has claimed.
The sex offender allegedly revealed his fantasy to a pal while living in the German city of Brunswick after returning to his home country from Portugal.
Christian B’s pal said: “He had a cellar and he said he wanted to line it with heavy plates, like the guy in Austria.”
‘RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT’
Fülscher added just because his client is staying silent amid claims he is linked to high-profile disappearance it does not mean he is a killer.
He said: “This doesn’t show that he is guilty, it’s just a normal practice of reserving your right to remain silent.”
MADDIE SUSPECT IS NO ‘PSYCHOPHATIC MONSTER’, CLAIMS LAWYER
The lawyer for the Madeleine McCann prime suspect has said his client is not a “psychopathic monster.”
Friedrich Fülscher made the claim as he spoke of his “friendly” chats with convicted sex fiend Christian B.
He told RTL: “I experience him as a very calm and friendly person to talk to and the atmosphere has always been very pleasant.”

CHRISTIAN B WAS BOOTED OUT OF PORTUGAL TWICE
Madeleine McCann suspect Christian B was booted out of Portugal twice for child sex offences – but cops never linked him to the missing toddler.
The convicted paedo was sent to Germany for the first time in 1999 after spending four years on the run in the Algarve.
He then served a two-year sentence for sexually abusing a child before returning to the tourist hotspot.
But in 2017, Christian B was extradited back to his native Germany for a second time to serve a 15-month prison sentence for sexually abusing a child and possession of child abuse material.

The Sexta 9 show reported bizarre facts about Christian B, 43, including him chasing sheep while drunk and exposing himself to kids.
It quoted a neighbour talking about the policeman but did not make clear if he was retired or still living in the house.
BRIT COP ‘LIVED NEXT DOOR’ TO CHRISTIAN B
A Brit cop lived next door to prime Madeleine McCann suspect Christian B.
The Portuguese home of the unidentified Scotland Yard detective was alongside the isolated villa in Foral where Christian B lived in 2007.
Neighbours had urged police to search it after the three-year-old British child vanished from her holiday apartment a 30-minute drive away.
London’s Met Police refused to comment on the revelation made on a TV programme in Portugal.
SUSPECT IN JAIL
Christian B is serving 21 months in Kiel, Germany, for drugs trafficking.
The suspect has so far remained silent and not spoken with prosecutors who claim that have ”concrete evidence” Madeleine is dead.
