Lady Gaga’s surprise ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 cameo was meant to break the internet — but instead it left fans disappointed for one very specific reason that could change everything in Season 3 🕷️🎭

And, no, it’s not because she doesn’t sing.

Lady Gaga is nothing if not devoted to her fans, and yet Little Monsters everywhere were left disappointed last week when they turned on Netflix and finally saw Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated Wednesday cameo. Why were fans so disappointed in Gaga’s Wednesday season 2 role? Because it was too short!

Lady Gaga appears in Wednesday season 2, episode 6, “Woe Thyself,” as Rosaline Rotwood, a former teacher at Nevermore Academy who shared Wednesday’s psychic abilities. In a desperate attempt to regain her psychic powers, Wednesday goes to Rosaline’s grave and communes with her, but she’s interrupted by Enid and—long story short—Rosaline curses them to switch bodies.

It’s a fun, dreamy cameo that plays directly into Gaga’s witchy aura, but it’s also…barely two minutes long. And fans are not pleased.

“Can you believe they hyped Lady Gaga’s role in Wednesday only for her to have 2 minutes of screen time including that horrendous CGI scene?” one viewer wrote on Twitter.

Another noted, “They made such a big deal of Lady Gaga being in Wednesday Season 2 and the whole time she had a cameo shorter than a TikTok.”

Other users noted that Gaga’s cameo appearance is actually shorter than the original song she contributed to the show’s soundtrack, “The Dead Dance,” which clocks in at three minutes and 48 seconds.

According to a report form Gold Derby, Lady Gaga has one scene that clocks in at one minute and 46 seconds, followed by a few brief seconds of screen time later in the episode. And, unfortunately, that means she’s not on it long enough to actually qualify for the Best Guest Star acting category at the Emmys next year. But, “The Dead Dance” could still earn her a nod for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

I wouldn’t count Gaga out of the 2026 Emmys race yet.
