‘XO, Kitty’ Stars Reveal Hopes for Kitty & Min Ho’s Future in Season 4
What To Know
Kitty and Min Ho rekindle their relationship in the XO, Kitty Season 3 finale, which ends with them headed to Kitty’s hometown.
Showrunner Valentina Garza and the actors, Anna Cathcart and Sang Heon Lee, reveal what relationship milestones they want to see.
XO, Kitty has yet to be renewed for Season 4 as of the Season 3 premiere on April 2.
It wasn’t looking good for Kitty (Anna Cathcart) and Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) for a large portion of XO, Kitty Season 3, but they manage to find their way back to each other in the season’s final moments. Not only do they exchange “I love yous,” but Min Ho is headed to Portland with his girlfriend, on the precipice of meeting her dad. In a voiceover, Kitty remarks that she isn’t sure what’s next for them, but she’s okay with that.
“[Kitty and Min Ho] are at the end of a journey at the end of the season, but they’re absolutely also at the beginning of a journey with all that they’ve learned,” showrunner Valentina Garza told Swooon about XO, Kitty‘s future. “I think there are so many more [relationship] milestones for them to potentially cover.”
Though we have yet to find out if Kitty and Min Ho will return to KISS for their last semester, the actors have already started thinking ahead. Cathcart and Lee spilled about the relationship milestones they hope will be included in a potential Season 4.
Cathcart wants to see Min Ho meet Kitty’s family in full. “I just think there’s something so intimate of showing someone your hometown,” she said. “To have Min Ho and Kitty sit on the couch that Peter [Noah Centineo] and Lara Jean [Lana Condor] have sat on for all three [To All the Boys] movies, I think, would blow people’s minds, including my own. Like, I think it’d be so special and so nostalgic.”
The actress recalled Min Ho’s line when they’re sitting together on the plane: “I can’t wait to see the city that made Kitty Song Covey.” The actress explained, “That’s really what it is. It’s like, ‘This is where I became me.’ That’s so special. And she knows Min Ho in his world, and he also only knows her in his world. So I think it’d be very big, like a big milestone, to have him in her hometown. And I think it’d be so cute. I want to see it happen.”
Lee wants to see the couple share some important high school moments. “I want to see graduation,” he said. “I want to see the ceremony. I want to see a prom that shows that it’s been three years. It’s been four years, whatever, like the amount of time that we spent in school, and it’s time to say, ‘Oh, right, there’s more things out there now, but wish you the best of luck.’ That sort of touching moment, really.”
