Fergie’s Whereabouts Finally Found as Sources Confirm She’s Already Been Questioned by Police For Andrew’s Arrest—’Nothing Is Off the Table’
Ever since the former prince Andrew was arrested, there have been questions about what comes next. Sure, he was released after being questioned for about 11 hours, but the investigation continues, and now his current home and previous home at Royal Lodge have been raided. So it’s likely more information will come to light.
Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in office, but a lot of people seem to think that’s just the beginning. And with his name and that of his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, all over the Epstein files, there has been a lot of interest in where Fergie is and if she might be arrested too.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the reason the former Duchess of York hasn’t been seen is that she allegedly checked into an “expensive wellness clinic” in Switzerland last month. She reportedly stayed there through the end of January.
But Rob Shuter is saying she was already questioned about Andrew’s arrest. And according to the gossip journalist, she isn’t in any danger of being arrested, at least for now. “Andrew was always the objective,” one legal source told Shuter. “Sarah isn’t the headline. She’s leverage.”
What does that mean for her? “When someone can fill in the gaps, they become very important very quickly,” another insider said. “And important witnesses don’t get treated like defendants.”
Does that mean she could turn on Andrew to avoid being prosecuted? “Nothing is off the table if the information is strong enough,” another source said. “Value buys protection.”
“She understands the stakes,” one friend said. “At some point, survival outranks loyalty.”
All of this comes after reports from US Weekly that Andrew and Fergie had been acting “defensive, not reflective,” before Andrew’s arrest, adding, “They have a lot of shared resentment toward the media rather than any deep inward reckoning. Privately, there is regret, but it’s rarely said out loud.”
Royal expert Christopher Andersen told the publication, “I’m sure Andrew is thinking, If only Mummy was still alive,” because the Queen “did everything she could to shield her favorite son” before her death. “Andrew, in particular, has always had a sense of entitlement that was extreme even in royal circles. You got the sense he felt he could get away with anything — and he could, as long as he could run to the late queen for protection.”
Meanwhile, David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision PR and an expert in crisis communications, said, “There is no return whatsoever for either Sarah or Andrew, even if they’re not formally charged.”
And as for Fergie, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail: “Sarah Ferguson has no future at all. She’s shamed and her businesses are closed down, and certainly no charity would touch her and a great deal more will come out. We’re not at the end.”
He also added, “A little quiet and humility would be a good idea but it’s not in her temperament. This is very serious and you never know where it could go. She should be extremely concerned about what has come out.”
