Harry Potter fans just realized the 2 main characters have a ‘father-son’ relationship that no one discovered until the BIGGEST SECRET was revealed

Harry Potter fans just realising 2 major characters were related

I don’t like this

Well, this is upsetting.

When this story made its way onto my desk, I was somewhat curious as to what familial connection I might’ve missed in Harry Potter.

I now wish the information had never registered in my brain.

You see, it turns out that pretty much everyone in the Wizarding World is related which feels a tad, well, suspect.

But I’ll point out a few major connections.

Arthur Weasley’s mother was Cedrella, and she married Septimus Weasley.

But Cedrella’s maiden name was none other than … Black.

Yes, Arthur is related to Sirius which apparently makes them second cousins once removed.

Harry Potter will return when HBO’s TV series hits our screens next year.

There’s also a connection between Molly and Sirius though too.

Sirius’ aunt Lucretia married Molly’s uncle Ignatius Prewett, making them cousins by marriage too.

The Blacks are also related to the Potters and Malfoys.

Dorea Black married Charles Potter.

Cygnus Black married Drusella Rossier, with the couple going on to have two children: Bellatrix and Narcissa.

You may know Bellatrix as a Lestrange, but that’s because she married Rodolphus Lestrange, losing her maiden name of Black.

Narcissa, of course, went on to marry Lucius Malfoy.

It’s perhaps also worth noting that Callidora Black married Harfang Longbottom.

All of this is to say that basically every major wizarding family is related so make of that what you will.

Oh, but there’s more.

If Arthur is Sirius’ second cousin once removed and Molly is Sirius’ cousin by marriage does that mean Arthur and Molly are … related?!

I can’t bear to ponder this any longer. Harry Potter fans just realising 3 major characters never once met

Harry Potter fans have just realised that its most feared villain probably didn’t even know two other major characters existed.

The Harry Potter series is beloved by millions of fans across the world whether it’s due to the novels, the movies or video games such as Hogwarts Legacy – perhaps even all three.

Other than for its captivating stories, one of the main reasons fans fell in love with the Wizarding World is due to its amazing cast of characters.

The three main central characters in those stories are Harry Potter, of course, and his two best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The big bad of the series is none other than Lord Voldemort.

Yet, despite Lord Voldemort trying to kill Harry Potter since he was a baby, he seemingly doesn’t even know the names of his two best friends.

There’s even a moment when Harry, Ron and Hermione are captured by Snatchers, servants of Lord Voldemort in The Deathly Hallows. The Malfoys are aware of the trio (arguably the most loyal servants of the Dark Lord), but the two best friends still might as well be nameless NCPs.

“Does Voldemort know Ron and Hermione?” asked Redditor Immediate-Net-3267. “In all the books, Voldemort is always trying to kill Harry, but did he ever realise how close his relationship with Ron and Hermione was?”

“I think it’s funny that in all the books Voldemort doesn’t even know Ron and Hermione’s names—considering everything they did to help Harry,” they concluded.

“The Death Eaters do, the Malfoys at least have seen Hermione and her muggle parents in person (Lucius derides them at the beginning of book two),” replied komeau. “They could’ve passed that knowledge on to Voldemort at any time.”

“But Voldemort never really saw Hermione and Ron as a threat though, only Harry,” added Immediate-Net-3267. To be fair, that’s a very good point. If Voldemort sees you as beneath him (even more so than his followers) or irrelevant, you might as well not exist to the Dark Lord.

“Voldemort is very egocentric, so no. The one who could vanquish the Dark Lord is Harry, so he is the only one who matters,” explained DarthShiryu. “He is afraid of Dumbledore, but the rest of the ‘light side’ is not important. Like everybody.”

So there you have it, if you’ve not noticed that Lord Voldemort acts as if Harry Potter’s best friends do not exist, you probably will now.
