Tyson is one of boxing’s all-time great fighters.
James ‘Buster’ Douglas knows what it takes to beat Mike Tyson, but what heavyweight from today would he give the best chance of defeating the legendary New Yorker?
Douglas caused one of the biggest upsets of all time when he climbed off the canvas in 1990 to stop Tyson in Japan.
34 years on from that night, Tyson is getting ready to fight again with a showdown against Jake Paul set to take place in November.
Tyson’s name is often compared to fighters from other eras and Douglas has had his say on how today’s fighters would fare against him.
“I would say Usyk would have had the best chance to beat Mike,” said Douglas when speaking to Gambling Zone.
“Then AJ [Anthony Joshua], but Mike was a tough individual.”
Oleksandr Usyk became the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era in May, when he defeated Tyson’s namesake, Tyson Fury, in Saudi Arabia.
