Fans of Bridgerton are finally getting their first glimpse of what’s coming next.

New behind-the-scenes images have just surfaced showing Claudia Jessie back as Eloise Bridgerton in Season 5 — and fans are already noticing a few interesting details in the photos.

Some viewers think the images may even hint at where Eloise’s story is heading next.

First ‘Bridgerton’ Season 5 Behind-the-Scenes Images of Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton

We have our first look at Claudia Jessie as she returns as Eloise in Bridgerton season 5.

While Bridgerton Season 5 focuses on the romance between Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela (Masali Baduza), fan-favorite Eloise (Claudia Jessie) is one of the first stars to be spotted on set as the new season continues filming in the United Kingdom. 

Shortly after releasing its fourth season, Bridgerton is returning to production on its fifth season, chronicling the queer romance between Francesca and Michaela. The upcoming season began shooting in London as late as March 24. Filming on the season is expected to last for around 8 months before wrapping. A release date is still quite a way off, with the next batch of episodes likely arriving on the streamer in 2027 or early 2028.

With filming underway, we’re starting to see some first looks for Season 5. While we haven’t yet seen on-set photos of new leads (beyond the official announcement), we do have images of Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton.

First look at Claudia Jessie behind the scenes of Bridgerton season 5

The snaps, courtesy of GoffPhotos and UNBOXPHD, saw many extras and stars from the show spotted leaving the set at the Goldsmiths’ Hall in Central London, a frequently used shooting location.

Claudia Jessie and other cast members were spotted, with most wearing thick black jackets. Underneath, Eloise can be seen wearing her traditional light blue dress. Typically, Eloise’s primary color is light blue, the core color of the Bridgerton family. Her character’s color palette — light blue, soft pinks, pale greens, and lilacs — is a visual language that reflects her personality. Such tones represent her soft, bookish, and intellectual personality, unlike the more outlandish, brighter colors of other families in the ton, such as the Featheringtons, who wear yellow, orange, and pink.

Of course, many were upset that season 5 wouldn’t be focusing on Eloise’s love story, but there’s still at least another season on the way to fill in those gaps.

What is Eloise’s love story?

After being resistant to marriage for many years, Eloise ultimately has a change in attitude, leading her to reconsider her position and life as a spinster. She has an ongoing correspondence with Sir Philip Crane, a man she has never met but has only corresponded with through letters. In Season 6, it’s likely that Eloise will begin exchanging letters with Sir Philip Crane.

Here’s the official synopsis of Eloise’s novel To Sir Phillip, With Love:

“Sir Phillip knew from his correspondence with his dead wife’s distant cousin that Eloise Bridgerton was a spinster, and so he’d proposed, figuring that she’d be homely and unassuming, and more than a little desperate for an offer of marriage. Except . . . she wasn’t. The beautiful woman on his doorstep was anything but quiet, and when she stopped talking long enough to close her mouth, all he wanted to do was kiss her… Eloise Bridgerton couldn’t marry a man she had never met! But then she started thinking… and wondering… and before she knew it, she was in a hired carriage in the middle of the night, on her way to meet the man she hoped might be her perfect match. Except… he wasn’t. Her perfect husband wouldn’t be so moody and ill-mannered.
