Great news for Emily in Paris fans! The fourth season has officially wrapped filming, as announced by series star Lily Collins with an Instagram post on Thursday, May 16.
Collins shared a video of what looks to be the wrap party in which she’s dancing behind a screen to the song “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” by Lizzo. In the caption of the video, Collins wrote:
“That’s a wrap on season 4! It’s definitely been the most colorful, adventurous, and insanely fun one yet. I’m beyond grateful to my entire crew and cast for their tireless dedication and unparalleled passion. You’re all truly the best. I cannot wait to share what we’ve created together. And I REALLY hope we all get to do it again. Grazie Mille @emilyinparis family…”

While Netflix has announced Emily in Paris season 4 will be split into two parts, released on Aug. 15 and Sept. 12, the streaming service hasn’t yet revealed the fate of the fan-favorite romantic comedy series beyond the upcoming episodes. Clearly, Collins really wants season 5 to happen!
Netflix had the perfect opportunity to reveal an Emily in Paris season 5 renewal during the streamer’s first-ever upfronts presentation in May 2024, but they didn’t announce anything surrounding their biggest veteran shows. The event could have been a great way to celebrate season 4 wrapping filming in tandem with a renewal. But alas, no such thing happened.
Collins opening up about wanting the series to continue isn’t out of the ordinary, but it does signal that perhaps season 4 doesn’t end in a manner that could double as a series finale. If there’s a cliffhanger, fans will be clamoring for more from Netflix’s hit comedy series.
Thankfully, Collins started the renewal conversation publicly and in all caps. We need season 5, even if it’s the final season! (Although, we’ll also take a season 6 and maybe even a movie, not to be greedy.)
Emily in Paris season 4’s filming wrap comes cast and crew moved production from Paris to Rome for the final stretch of production. As previously mentioned, we already know when new episodes arrive. The first five episodes of season 4 premiere on Thursday, Aug. 15, and the season finishes its run with five more episodes on Thursday, Sept. 12.
