After the successful reception of Bridgerton seasons one and two, all eyes were on season three to continue the mantle of success. The two-part season focused on the life of Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, and his romance with Penelope Featherington, played by Nicole Coughlin.

While the entire Regency-era-coded fashion of the characters excluded elegance and romanticism, the fans also looked deeper into the cast’s overall facial and physical features throughout the seasons.

Finding himself on this side of the bandwagon this time was Luke Newton, who’s changed facial features in the latest season, has caused an intrigue amongst the viewers of the show.

Stars try many different things to look their best on television, so facial surgery and makeovers are nothing new in the Hollywood business. The same thing happened when the third season of Bridgerton premiered on Netflix.

During the initial episodes itself, the fanatics were quick to spot minor variations in Luke Newton’s facial features. While this might also be due to better eating habits and grooming techniques, a doctor named Jonny Betteridge simplified it better for a wider audience in an Instagram reel.

The doctor revealed that the actor’s facial features have changed throughout the years. Further that Newton had an oval face, a rounded jawline, and a small chin throughout the show’s first two seasons and added

Looking back at his face from a few years ago, you can see he’s always had a relatively small chin that’s underdeveloped on the side.

Dr. Betteridge continued by saying that losing weight may also be a contributing factor, but that his jawline is more angular, and that the strength of his chin has changed most noticeably.

While face characteristics might always change for a variety of reasons, the popularity that the third season of the beloved show is riding on cannot be altered.

Bridgerton season three takes the fans on a whirlwind romance

The Shondaland-created series starring Luke Newton and Nicole Coughlin shows no signs of slowing off after dominating the Global Top 10 TV Shows chart as of June 9. According to Forbes, Part 1 of the show has amassed an incredible 6.7 million views, or 18 million viewing hours, and has been the most popular for nearly four weeks.

This might also be due to the loyal fanbase that the series currently holds, given that the previous seasons are also present on the list, with season 1 fourth on the list with 113.3 million views and season 2 with 93.8 million views.

But success also brings with it a fair share of criticism. Rotten Tomatoes critics have given the show an 84% rating as of right now. However, the affection and devotion that the show has been receiving from viewers cannot be affected by this and are eagerly waiting for season 4 of the show.
