Rob Liefeld may not be allowed to say too much about Deadpool & Wolverine, but he recently sparked a frenzy when confirming a rumor about the movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine is still three months away, but one internet piece of speculation has actually been confirmed by someone who should be in the know; Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. The rumor in question centers on the post-credits scene of the upcoming movie, which industry insider MyTimeToShineHello on X/Twitter noted was going to be “mind-blowing.” Of course, this is not exactly a spoiler in itself and is a vague enough statement to also be said by many others. However, it gained a little more weight when Liefeld chimed in with his confirmation that she “ain’t lying to you!”
The anticipation for Deadpool & Wolverine has already reached a new height on the back of the latest trailer, but Liefeld actively weighing in to set high expectations for even the post-credits scene is either setting the movie up for a very big fall, or is really going to send audiences wild when they see it. In their post, @MyTimeToShineH wrote:
“OMG this is too good. I’m not going to ruin this but the post credit scene in Deadpool & Wolverine is so mind blowing I can’t believe they were able to pull this off without anyone knowing”
Liefeld’s confirmation on the back of this was enough to set fans into a frenzy of speculation and theories about what all of this could mean. However, that is part of the problem, because despite Liefeld’s comments, the original statement itself can very easily be interpreted as just another statement being made to look like someone knows the outcome of the movie when they really don’t. As always, these online scooper comments are to be taken with a pinch of salt – the difference this time being that either way, Liefeld is confident that the post-credit scene will be a worthy addition to the movie – even if that is all he is allowed to say after being silenced by Marvel.
What Theories Have Been Discussed for Deadpool & Wolverine’s Post-Credits Scene?

The hype around the post-credits scene of Deadpool & Wolverine has given fans another reason to throw out some wild guesses as to what this will actually entail. These theories have included the expectation of multiversal cameos, and a direct link to Secret Wars. One elaborate theory has even suggested that the final scene will see Deadpool and Wolverine ending up in the universe seen in the post-credits scene from The Marvels, and will go on to set up an X-Men vs Avengers movie.
However, the playing field is so open on this one that there are literally a multiverse of possibilities. One thing that is clear from official information released about Deadpool & Wolverine is that the film will certainly not be a stand-alone story and is going to have several implications on the MCU’s future thanks to its connections to Loki, the Fox Universe, and some expected changes to the lore of the multiverse ahead of the upcoming Avengers movies that will bring the Multiverse Saga to a close.
Deadpool & Wolverine is clearly going to bring out the big guns when it comes to its cameo appearances, multiverse locations, and the many references it will make to other Marvel stories. Beyond that, fans have to play a waiting game until July 26 to discover exactly what impact Deadpool’s new adventure is going to have on the MCU’s future.
