Dana White questioned whether the fight between Paul and Tyson will...

Mike Tyson’s return to the ring continues to leave many doubts among experts as to whether it will be a spectacle worth watching.

One of them is UFC boss Dana White, who considers the fight “ridiculous”, as it will match a former heavyweight champion, who is nearing 60, against a YouTuber who has had some fights that were more show than competitive, whose biggest advantage is that he is 30 years younger.

To top it off, the fight has had to be postponed because Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up mid-flight a few days ago.

“When this fight happens, Tyson will be 58 years old. A f***ing almost 60 year old guy shouldn’t be fighting a 27 year old guy. Under any circumstances, even if it’s Mike Tyson. It’s fucking ridiculous,” said White.

The fight was scheduled for July 20 in Texas, but Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up on a flight to Miami and the plane had to land for him to receive medical assistance. As a result the fight had to be postponed and now has no official date.

However, Tyson showed off his physique a few weeks ago, during an autograph signing, showing that his physique is in good condition to return to the ring for the first time since 2020, after almost 20 years after his official retirement from boxing.

Roy Jones raises his hand to fight Paul

Despite his age, Tyson looked in great shape in that bout against fellow former heavyweight champion Roy Jones, a veteran opponent in the same age range.

As a result, Roy Jones himself volunteered to fill in for Tyson.

“Maybe I’ll get in shape for that because I never thought about doing it before, but with the postponed fight situation, I think it’s a great idea. And I’ll be ready and in shape, because if the fight doesn’t happen, then I’m the ideal guy to fill in for Mike Tyson in the fight against Jake Paul. It’s something I’ve been thinking about,” he said in an interview with Betway.
