Chloe Bailey has received a polarizing response from fans after announcing a Chris Brown collaboration. The R&B singer dropped the news about their collaboration across her social media on Thursday.
“How Does It Feel” will be the latest single from Bailey’s highly anticipated debut album, In Pieces. In the image used to announce the single, 24-year-old Bailey and 33-year-old Brown are up close and personal in a tight embrace.
She captioned the post, “2ND PIECE. HOW DOES IT FEEL @chrisbrown. 2/24.”
Bailey’s fans are usually excited to hear she’s released new music, but when they saw the single would feature Brown, this wasn’t the case for many.

Some fans even admitted that they would not be streaming the song.
Brown has had several controversial moments that have been in the public eye. His first occurrence was in 2009 when he was arrested for hitting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault.
In 2013, he entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor assault after an altercation outside of a Washington, D.C. hotel with his female manager and publicist.

There were also multiple instances of abuse with his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. In 2017, Tran was granted a five-year restraining order against Brown, claiming that he was sending her violent text messages and physically harming her.
Bailey joins the club of R&B singers who have felt the wrath of angry fans after choosing to work with Brown.
Normani was hounded on social media after appearing in Brown’s video for his single “WE (Warm Embrace).”
The former Fifth Harmony member received criticism on social media that reads pretty similar to the one that Bailey currently enduring.
