It comes as a crucial witness will once again testify against the prime suspect in Maddie McCann’s disappearance
CHILLING notebooks revealed how Madeleine McCann suspect Christian B kept sick child rape pictures buried in his dingy lair.
German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said cops seized many notes and sketches from the 47-year-old convicted sex offender.

Talking about the “work” of B, who is serving a seven-year prison sentence in Saxony for the rape of a 72-year-old in Portugal, he said his “pictures” allegedly show the rape of a child.
“There are a lot of handwritten notes by Christian B,” he told RTL.
“These are a kind of notebook with some very personal content. They provide insights into the accused’s thoughts.”
Adding for the first time publicly: “The books contain notes and also pictures he painted himself.”
The detailed notepads – the Olive Press can reveal are called “Das Buch” and “Das Buch 1” – describe his sexual fantasies.
This allegedly includes the abduction of a woman and a child – followed by a description of a rape.
Another of his sketches is said to show “a child being raped”, revealed the RTL article.
Pictures showed inside the sinister old box factory where B kept his sick stash of sketches, notes and other disturbing memorabilia.
The site, in former East Germany, was bought by Christian B for €36,000 at auction a couple of years after Maddie vanished.
It was also there that police found more than 8,000 sickening photos and videos of sexual abuse he had hidden in a Lidl bag under the body of Christian B’s buried dead dog Charlie.
Throughout the building were also large circular symbols in an electric orange colour on the floor at the threshold of each section, probably sprayed by police as they finished inspecting a room.
And scrawled on a wall in red were the words, “Mein freundin hat mich beloneen betrogen zum hass eerzogem”, meaning: “My girlfriend lied to me, cheated on me and raised me to hate.”
The handwriting was said to be very similar to Christian B’s but is not known he was the author.
Wolters, who will begin his prosecution of B over five other sex crimes this month in Braunschweig said: “The investigation into the Maddie case is ongoing and is also independent of the outcome of the upcoming trial.”
He added that the results of the reservoir search on the Algarve last summer has not yet been completed.
It came after police found a kind of shrine at the Arade reservoir just a few months after Madeleine McCann’s disappearance.
The Olive Press revealed that B spent “considerable time” at the reservoir and even set up a camp there.
A sinister stone circle was erected at the waters edge, believed to have been by B.
And a crucial witness in a child rape case against Christian B will once again testify against him in court.
Christian B’s lawyer claimed former pal-turned-police informer Helge B – whose testimony once helped put him away for seven years – was lying about evidence.
But German judge has thrown out the claims that Helge was making false statements.
And now Helge, who has been dubbed the most important witness against Christian B, is set to once again prove vital in a case against the convicted rapist next month.
Helge first put cops onto Christian B’s case as the prime suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance back in 2018.
A source close to the Maddie investigation previously told The Sun that Helge described Christian B’s boasts about being a “master criminal” after allegedly snatching her.
He claimed that he had stolen a camera and videotapes showing Christian B raping several women – evidence which helped put him behind bars for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman.
Christian B – who is suspected of having kidnapped and murdered Maddie in 2007 – is now being investigated for other sexual crimes.
But the case – referring to the sexual assault of children – is an important piece of the puzzle in investigating Christian B.
The convicted rapist’s lawyer claimed that Helge – dubbed the most important witness in the case against his client – was lying about the tapes.
