Bridgerton fans have been treated to an official sneak peek as Netflix unveiled the official trailer for season four.

Bridgerton season four is just around the corner and fans of Netflix’s steamy period drama are gearing up to see Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson) fall in love with the mysterious Sophie (Yerin Ha). As the second son, Benedict has refused to settle down despite pleas from his mother, Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell).

That is, until, at his mother’s masquerade ball, Benedict finds himself drawn to a masked Lady in Silver and is keen to uncover her true identity. He calls on his reluctant sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie) for help in identifying the mystery woman.

Surprisingly, Sophie Baek is in fact working as a resourceful maid for Araminta Gun (Katie Leung), and when Benedict and Sophie are reunited, he is unaware she is in fact his Lady in Silver. He finds himself torn between the reality of his affection for the fascinating maid and the fantasy of the masked woman.

The official synopsis reads: “Will Benedict’s inability to see these women as one and the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything — even a cross-class connection forbidden by society?” The fourth season is based on Julia Quinn‘s book, An Offer From a Gentleman, which has been described as a unique Cinderella story.

Here is all you need to know about season four including the release date, episode count and cast.

Is there a trailer for Bridgerton season 4?

The official trailer for season four was released over Christmas and it sparked complaints from fans as Anthony and Kate were “missing” from the preview.

One disgruntled viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: “Clearly we understand Kathony [Kate and Anthony] had their season… but it truly doesn’t make sense that the VISCOUNT and VISCOUNTESS Bridgerton, the literal HEADS of the household, are nowhere to be seen Imao.”

The new teaser shows Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) collaborating with Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) after her true identity as Lady Whistledown was revealed. Meanwhile, Sophie’s Cinderella moment plays out on screen as she is forced to flee the ball at midnight, leaving Benedict clueless.

Benedict’s relationship with his mother is also one of the main highlights of the trailer, as he is torn between fulfilling her dream and chasing his own desires.

Bridgerton season 4, part 1 airs on Netflix on January 29, with part 2 dropping on February 26
